No Discount was given for the unit I paid for. I paid actually full price at the time of 1000$ or so w/ shipping. I paid for this unit and I wanted to get a chance to drive it and test it out before I went back and compared both tunes. This is what I did and I shared my information with the board. I give credit when credit is due, I love this tune. Everytime I punch it, I get that feeling of getting thrown back into the seat until REDLINE. I never had a tune like this before, all my prior tunes would taper down MUCH higher then this one, therefore I find the kick in this. I also really love how LOW END torque.... you get. I'm all about pick-up.... I could really careless about going 140+.

If they want to post their findings on the forum, as they have been doing, that is 100% their decision. They could, theoretically, post up a bad review if they want and still keep the discount. But, in the end, everyone just wants the best tune for their car and is willing to put aside this ridiculious tuner loyalty. Well, most everyone.

There is NO definite clear defined answer when it comes to it. Every car manufactorer is the same. If you run over a curb and break your axel the 2nd day you own you car BMW will not cover that under warranty. If you have a Dinan tune but have downpipes and backpressure sucks a small metal fragment into the turbos bc the downpipes weren't put on correctly Dinan will not cover you under warranty.

It is very simple. Warranties don't cover everything.
Your examples are way over the edge. Breaking an axle because your flat out hit the curb, then sucking debris into your engine are totally different. For one, you have to physically move your car and drive it. You don't have the power to tell air or debris to fly into your engine and cause it to blow up your turbos. I understand your logic, and I agree with you, to the fullest extent. I'm just not keen on not getting a straight up answer, I've been around the BMW scene for a while since I had my e46, and I've seen some cases turn dirty, but that is how any company works. No one wants to stick up and foot the bill unless proven. I'm just saying, make things clear No harm in that?

They don't "save" money when upgrading to Procede from a jb3. In fact, it costs them ~$350-450 depending on how much they can get for their Jb3. The ONLY reason they would make the switch is if they honestly prefered the Procede. The Procede discount and 2 week return policy just encourages them to try it out in the first place. People don't know what they are missing until they try something out. I don't expect the most ardent of fanboys to make this move. They would rather stick by their guns, stay in the bms club, live with a less enjoyable tune and question the motives of those who do make the switch. And that is fine by us.

so, i have a dinan SII that i just put in a few weeks ago... thing is freaking FAST and i love it.

my 6SP M transmission is great... my only concern is that i don't have a lot of power below 3K rpm... is that fairly normal? i mean - it pulls - but, then the turbos spool and wowsers in my trousers! can i get more low end torque somehow and maintain my dinan? is limited power under 3k normal?

Sorry, I haven't seen this post. That is why I completely switched over. I'm addicted to low end torque, Dinan just doesn't offer anything in that market yet. I know if you upgrade to about stage 3, not sure if there is much of a difference since they are just raising the boost and making you buy some more of their junk (oil cooler), but the FMIC is very nice, since it's pretty much spearco w/ Dinan modification. As of right now, not much you can really do, but maybe add a dual code filter to help the engine breath a little better and feel a bit more "responsive." I added AFE when I had Dinan along with BOV and Full Exhaust... they never gave me any problems. Are you running an aftermarket intake?

As for that low end torque, that is why I decided to try something new, and boy it's freaking great! The torque is nuts... down low and up top, since it doesn't really taper down that much until next shift and still it's pulling hard!

Great Review

The title of the thread was more than appropriate. Great review, exactly the type of feedback I was looking for.
