After the meeting with Steve Dinan last week, I think he quoted close to $1000 MSRP for the intake....but don't hold me to it, I think it was just a nice round figure...

Every time he posts he does the same thing... introduces a product then vanishes. How about a little more info? I'm sure it would be easier to post it ALL here than be tied up on the phone all day with forum members all asking the same questions.

Yeah, like what he says means anything. He also told me that stage 2rev2 isn't detuned from "FLASH CLASSIC". I'm still waiting for my original power to come back that rev2 took from me

If you read the description for the BMW performance intake it sounds exactly like this.

Looks great, I'm interested but probably won't be anymore once pricing is released.

Come on Dinan please give us a good price!

I guess since this is an "auxiliary" system the air comes in through the stock intake path if/when the lower tract is submerged.

This is my stock Dinan Rev.II datalog. You need to get your BMW software upgraded then reflashed. There is nothing detuned about Rev. 2 with 2.32.1.

1. Will another flash be required?

2. Forget about rain, what about snow, slush, mud and road crud?

sorry to laugh but this is actually the funniest thing I have read on the site recently. Not going to say anything but OMFG! That is just hilarious. I can see virtual reality images in my head of that. Think kind of an aquatic car of sorts.

the largest restriction on the stock system is the air has to take a U-Turn and go through the single stock filter from the stock snorkel... this can be verified by removing the airbox lid on the dyno, you get the same gains by just removing the lid as with the best dual cone intakes... (but, of course your air is unfiltered, don't try this at home )

Ohwell... looks like a neat system... too bad it will probably be $2,000

I've had an idea I've started to put down on paper myeslf than involves an additional snorkel, but it takes quite a different approach ;-).

I'm thinking I'll have a fiberglass prototype built up within a month... We'll see what happens.

This intake is just way too late. The BMW Performance Intake for 135i/335i is launched in a few days. Maybe this is why they made the announcement, because Dinan and BMW Performance have the same audience/prices...and they couldn't even post an actual picture of the intake ! Can you imagine how many months will pass until it is available ?

Also, I am sure that the BMW cooling upgrade from the BMW Performance Power Kit will place the second water cooler right where the Dinan's cone filter is placed.

So...PASS...

Bubbles- that does look GOOD! I'll try to call my dealer today and see what they will do. I have an '07 with a may build date. Will they update it if I just tell them there is "lag"?
