What tunes automatically delete codes?

so if mike and terry build an automatic code cleaner into their software, which they are perfectly capable of, then would everyone switch from procede to JB3?

What mike is saying is that the BT tool is just cool to have for many other things as well, so as long as you have extra cash around just get one, whether you have a JB3 or a Procede...you can use it. Its not just JB3 users who need the BT tool.

Why the fk is everyone so keen on going off-topic here? Just answer the man's question.

OP - after trying the new 1.3D beta map, I must agree with what the others say in terms of low end torque and linearity. It is a good improvement over the 1.22.

While it doesn't jolt me back in my seat like the 1.22, oddly feels faster. I guess since it is much more linear, I don't notice the extra power.

there are more maps if you have the tuning gauge (I don't)

To be honest the boost display is what really excited me, as a good gauge alone is $300. So that puts the JB3 package at around $1200+ for the same features as a procede. And like I said, I own a JB3. Im just trying to help the OP not make the same mistake I did
I think the mistake you made was purchase a product that didn't suit your personality - you are more into features than performance. Most JB3 owners are simplistic and performance oriented. Most JB3 owners do not care about the Procede's added features.

Clearing codes w/o a laptop is a nice edge but how many times does one actually have to clear codes where a laptop connection is inconvenient?

The BT Scan Tool can datalog and is a powerful tool.

Some folks don't want to remove the speed delimeter.

Boost display in the dash is nice - is there an upgrade fee for that?

BMS' tuning gauge is more than a gauge, it is also a tuner w/o the need for a laptop.

Oh don't forget about how cheap a JB3 Pinout is!

JB3 Pinout 350
BT Tool 290
Chip Burner 40
Tuning Gauge 280
Total = $960 -> not bad for $15 more considering you get the BT Scan Tool with it.

I´m about to order JB, but don´t know which from these two is better.
I like 1.3 over 1.22. 1.3 is more responsive for daily driving. Not sure about 1/4 mi performance yet though - haven't tested it yet. 1.3 pushes the limits further too. I am happy with 1.3.

Yep yep, I said thats the mistake I made in my previous post. When buying the JB3 I did go into it thinking it was simple, dont know about performance- I'm sure both tunes make the N54 go crazy fast. I read and was told by Terry that it was 100% undetectable and threw no codes, read about free upgrades to future versions, so yeah at the time, paying more money for a procede that offered similar performance seemed ridiculous. Then I found out that its not undetectable and would need a $300 code scanner , had to pay extra to upgrade, all which I could have gotten included in a procede.

Procede CANBUS is $1095 on vishnu website, not $945. You don't need a burner for JB3. Terry will send you a new chip for $20. Free if within the last month or so (no planned obsolescence). Do a search on vishnu and upgrade and get lost in the number of dissatisfied users.

Oh and only 12 posts with almost half of them in this thread??? Obvious alias made for fanboy posting.

No, as per my sig, it's $945 of you are on this forum. As everyone reading this thread... well.. is. Some people have been purchasing products with a 1000-1500% mark up which is all well and good. But it's also the reason such products can't control timing, defeat speed limits, offer a software based o2 sim, integrate with the CANbus, etc,. But man, you can sure get credit for something new that doesn't do what it should or was advertised to do. But, of course, some will argue that all those omissions are intentional and of no long-term consequence. But others will know better. Which means a heated debate will inevitably ensue. And most of the participants will be completely unqualified to even participate in such a discourse.

Let it begin!!

Cheers,
shiv

oooh so will it automatically manually clear the codes? or it will manually clear the codes automatically? or will it automatically clear the codes manually? or do you clear automatic codes manually clearing manual codes automatically?

lol J/K

I applaud ALL tune makers equally. We won't be anywhere without them. Do people have to argue over which tuner made an extra 2 hp with their new map or who can clear a code faster by pressing less buttons? Maaan, we are all beating M3's here with all tunes so be happy.

Shi*t, if you lose 10 pounds, you can gain an extra horsepower...so now are we supposed to get dietitians on the forum here to get our asses in shape so we can get faster cars??

just my 2 cents. I am saving the rest of my dollas for DP's

Thanks for responses guys, i have answer to my question so i´m ok with little OT here)
And i´m decided for JB3 - i´m out of warranty this month so codes are not issue for me, and i have friend w diagnostics who can delete codes for me in case of need.
I just liked user-feedback better for JB, that´s why i went this route.
I´m looking forward what will our European fuel do with my car w JB on board, i´m running 100 octane only... But otherwise the car is fully stock, what map do you recomend for this setup?

Be aware that octan numbers in Europe differ from the US. I got confused by this at first.

Read somewhere that 98 oct in Europe equals to 94 oct in the States. So our 100 oct should be equal to 95 oct in the US.

You need to consider this when chosing the settings of your tune (or comparing whp dyno graphs and the like).

exactly i run Shell 99 in sweden and its equal to 94 octane in US. You should run map 3-4 with tune only.

$50 bucks says Shiv PM'd the OP as soon as he said he was going JB3 to offer some crazy discount and get him on the PROcede track after basically trolling the thread with his disinformation campaign??

The koolaid may be strong in some posters, but the greediness is even stronger in some tuners..
