I have been out and inspected the offending area on my car and it's not there!

hang on a mo, mines an 08 MY and they must have fixed it after they noticed it on the earlier models and wondered what it was?

Just looked at my late 2006 335d and it also lacks that slightly odd looking item...

Bit wierd having sodding big bolts screwed into your radiator...

Looks like a mounting bracket for something - that hasn't been mounted.

Maybe they were going to fit a comedy horn but forgot?
