Must be a Dachshund thing, my sister had one growing up and the thing was racist as the KKK, that damn thing barked and chase people of color all the time. It was really embarrassing when the dog did it.

Its generally a socialization issue. Dogs respond to things that are unusual to them. If you only socialize a puppy with white people, the dog will see anyone who is not white as different, and thus something to be wary of. Most times their response will be to try and chase the person away. So when you get a puppy expose them to as many different types of people. Short, tall, black, white, asian, young old, in a wheelchair, whatever.

I agree and this dog was socialized and was around all kinds of things and people as puppy, it just single them out on its own for no apparent reason, I had beagle at the same time and that dog could care less who or what you were it treated everyone the same.

try posting on craigslist and post a few flyers around. My dog got lost a few weeks ago and I posted an ad on CL. I did a search afterward and someone's found my dog and actually posted it on there a few hours before i posted.
