I am not sure if you guys ever look at the M5board videos?
Anyway... I hope all the cars with meth kit will show up on the May event. I know there are 2 335i ready with Stage3 + meth. Stay tuned! |

A stock GTR is in the 11.6-11.8s range @120 mph on the quarter mile.
Full bolt on n54 can achieve 12-12.2s @117 mph. If the huge advantage of GTR transmission is reduced by performing a rolling start from 60mph (so that traction issues and one gear change are taken off the equation) I can't see so much of a difference between the two cars up to 120mph. |

The thing is that it's on the street, anything can happen. He may not have even been in the right mode so how can anyone say it couldn't happen is pretty retarded not to think that different results come from different drivers with the same exact car. Just because I could beat a guy in a z06 with my T/A doesn't mean that my car is faster than a Z06, it just means that the other guy lost and I won. He should have one on paper, but if you can't catch traction, have a shitty launch, and can't shift worth crap, then it doesn't matter. BTW it was a c5 Z06 not a new one. Granted the GT-r doesn't have issues the same as a Z06, but don't you have to put that thing in sport mode 3 different ways. There are always variables.

As blake said, I had his M3 at full throttle and I couldn't even keep up with the GT-R. That car's a beast. I've also been in it several times and am blown away by the experience every time. When he gets his 750awhp.......I can't even imagine. It's going to be nuts.
335? No chance in hell unless you're pushing 450+rwhp and are driving a stripped out car with weight reduction. (And that's just to stand a chance against a STOCK one)

Have people not seen recent n54 times? 11.7s with meth, no NOS..gt-r's run 11.7s as well...its definitely fairly believable that a 335/135 can stay with a gtr until about the 120-130s...

op's story is bullshit, no way a modded 335 is running with a gt-r
A GT-R is fast, but its WAY overrated. I raped my boys GT-R with a c6 z06 with just a headers back exhaust, tune, and intake - pulled bad. The AWD really puts it at a great disadvantage from a roll against high-horsepower RWD cars. Plus, 90grand on a nissan? Go buy a zr1 for 10g more that will absolutely put the GT-R to shame. |

well wait till hpf makes a more powerful kit, but then again... If i wanted a gtr i would have bought one,, my friend has one that hits 10's already, i'll get some pix soon, its a really nice care w. a lot of carbon, including fenders and a remote spoiler... but i hate the fact that it does not come in stick (yes i know its not faster) i just enjoy driving that more....
anyway, i'll get a 997 next and keep the 335i.. nevertheless. gtr is sick esp for the money fast and furious all the way!

and for the record, if you pay $90k for a gt-r, you're getting fucked backwards and dry. if you're not an idiot and just sign everything without simple negotiations, you shouldn't pay more than $79k NEW (with the dealership still making a couple grand on you.) that being said, i paid $68k for my 09 with 2700 miles on it including a very rare, 1 of 10 ever made, $5300 HKS titanium exhaust. blue book value was almost $74k. so in conclusion, these cars are holding their value surprisingly well and it's an absolute joy to drive (and i got an incredible deal.) so why not? driving is believing. i was a naysayer once, but look what i did. here's a little video to consider: that's the p800 you mention below vs a lingenfelter modified zr1. betcha didn't expect that, did you? so there's your sub-$100k car (after mods, etc.) that will hang right there with a zr1 and not be a total piece of shit. not only will it handle well in a straight line, but great in the twisties. (above video is a rematch of this race.) i won't youtube race all night, but i'm not scared of any corvette. i've seen stock gt-r's get eaten by z06's, but a gt-r with an ecu tune will easily have that same z06. nissan locks away tons of power just waiting to be unlocked. the switzer p800 will be similar to what i'll have done. i should have a good 50awhp on the p800 because i'll be making 24psi peak vs. 21-22psi that switzer puts out. both of those figures are on high octane race gas though. my pump tune will still be 19psi @ ~660awhp. i'll also be using beefier parts than switzer. mostly HKS except for the greddy XL intercooler. this isn't to say switzer doesn't make a great kit, because it's good and proven, but there is just so much more potential in the gt-r. |

Ya but that was also a full bolt on gtr
Also I like corvettes but 100k for one is reatarted 90% of the people out there will not know what the difference is when they see one on the street. The gtr for 70k isn't a bad deal and it doesn't look like its 40k dollar litte brother. I was looking into gtr's until I seen the 2014 one and I think I am going to hold off until that comes out. |
