I was thinking of using them for fitting my e92 se with the msport bodykit:

http://www.mstyle.co.uk/acatalog/bmw..._bodykits.html

However from what people are saying I should think twice.

TBO when I emailed mstyle for a quote the reply did seem to come back from some chav that couldn't put a sentence together.

Anyone know of somewhere that does something similar and is a similar price? Tried emailing a local bodyshop but they never replied.

Thanks

To be honest mate i searched around for the m-sport body kit and m-style seems to be the cheapest place to buy from. You could buy the kit from there then get it fitted elsewhere?

Simply from what has been said I will either use Sytner Harold Wood or Sira. I will get quotes from both and see how I feel.

rsmallwo, have you a price from BMW for the kit? Fitting could be DIY...

They are a joke. Not to mention whe i bought my alloys from them I turned up on 3

different days assured they will be there on each of those days. The 3rd time i

went they recieved the wheels after me waiting there for an hour n a half for the guy to

come and deliver them. + I live an hour away from them.

what was the quality of work like for this? Where you happy with it.

Parts problems I can sympathise with, If the bodyshop is actually good then thats want I to know.

Mind you, I'd have to drive 200 miles to them so would have to confirm parts onsite before setting off!!

rsmallwo,

even if their work is good would you want to expose yourself to the potential of poor customer service? What if you encounter problems down the road etc?

I have no complaints with there bodywork. It was actually a very good job but for the

aftersales service iv recieved from them i would have rather done it elsewhere.

In terms of the bodywork done I had no quibbles either, was well done and at a decent price and seemed to me at least professional.

In terms of after sales service, having got what you wanted in terms of bodywork, what are you referring to? Was this in terms of other work you had done to the car from Mstyle at a later date?

It's tricky isn't it. Sunny has had good experience, as has nc123 for bodywork. But the other comments suggest the general level of competence and customer service is sub-par for anything other than a straight forward purchase and walk away transaction. Even then you might encounter issues when it comes to stock levels and them being honest with you!

My mate had a Msport bodykit fitted and painted at Mstyle and the colour match was rubbish yet it passed their quality checks. Hmmm. They did redo it but things like that tend to put me off.

That's the nail in the coffin for M-Style as far as I am concerned. Stealer or Sira for me...

I was put off doing business from them by their very poor customer services.

When you guys say the cheapest, have you actually asked your dealer or Cotswold BMW to give you their best price??
I often get between 12.5 and 25% off stuff from my dealer and it is always cheaper than MStyle.

wow! They are fucking useless. I have been waiting for a thread like this to pop up. The Customer service is shit. They are the biggest bunch of pikey muppets to grace the planet and dare call themselves a BMW Specialists.
I travelled miles to get my bonnet repaired and painted by this company (thought they would be good because they always advertise in the BMW magazines) and 2 months later the paint were the repair was done was cracked, a few weeks later the crack went right back to the metal again just like it was before the car went in to them.

I went to Scothall BMW body shop and the bonnet was done properly in the end although out of pocket.

I think it's safe to say that M-Style have been exposed for being a bunch of mugs.

I just wanted to add that before I started this thread I actually went down to them as they are just up the road from me but wanted to get some outside opinions as my first impression may have been unjustified. This is clearly not the case and my fears have been quite clearly confirmed by the membership of this forum and from having read what went on with that other chaps E46 M3 over on m3cutters.

The impression I got was they were a bunch of typical "Essex Boys" who get off on screwing around with the cars of others. The really sad thing is that they did not look short of business I am in no doubt plenty of unsuspecting punters take their lovely cars down there for various different services/works etc and end up getting screwed.

Simply on first impressions my instinct/gutt reaction was telling me to steer clear. From what has been said here so far, with the latest coming from Neversaydie, those impressions seem completely justified.

Steer clear guys!
