Is there any way you can verify what map youre on without a laptop? also if you do the pedal method will there be any indication on what map you just initialized?

no you just have to count....you'll need the cable to verify which map you are on visually via laptop/netbook.

The map switching SEEMS easy enough, but I cant tell you how many calls I've gotten about how customer's JB3's not working properly which all lead to user error.
To switch maps: 1. Press start button (without foot on brake pedal) 2 times (or once depending on if you only pressed the start/stop button 1 time the last time you shut the car off). Essentially, you want all the lights to illuminate on the dash 2. Press the gas pedal down for 5+ seconds 3. Press gas pedal x amount of times (x= map you want. ie: Map 5= press gas pedal all the way to floor 5 times) 4. Start car 5. Drive |

How did you get it to start working exactly? I'm having the same issue currently. I don't feel like it's switching maps and it seems to be running slower than before.
