it is, it's a supra that's sponsored by hks. the bov sounds like that because of the immense boost pressure.

I'll pass on the high-pitched squeaking. Doesn't belong on this car - or any car for that matter.

'vroooooom <peak> vroooooom <peak>' Sounds kinda dumb IMO. No respekt from me or any other car guy/gal that I know, only laughs. But, people are still going to buy them.

I like the boost gage. How easy is it to install?

not a fan of the cabin clutter really....nor the "whistle" sound. As a former "ricer" (hehe), this may sound funny but I really don't think the "whistle" of the BOV matches the BMW. If anything, maybe a lower tone "whoosh" may pass.

Besides, I love the sound of the exhaust and the growl of the engine....no need to interrupt the symphony

it's an extremely easy install...find the vacuum line...cut with sissors....use a "t" joint (couple dollars at any autozone or else where)....stick the vaccum line in each ends....insert the tube line that comes with boost gauge to the other end of the joint......

running the line through the fire wall (most firewall will have "nipples" for wires and such not) woulc probably be the most trouble some.....run the line to the gauge and mount (usually a-pillar)....find a constant power line that only stays on when the engine is on....

i'm sure somebody will be posting a diy in the near future....

that is NOT the hks ssqv... that would be the hks racing blowoff type 2.
