I am running that tank and I followed the install instructions and it works flawlessly.

By custom work you mean following the instructions and installing a pickup tube. Page 4A of the instructions complete with pictures.

After you install the barb fitting into the tank with the drill, remove the fitting by reversing the drill and cut a 7 inch section of hose and insert into the bottom of the fitting just as shown. No glue or tape is required. Now install the fitting by inserting the hose in the tank and tightening the fitting by hand. Once its hand tighten you can use a wrench to completely tighten. This hose is a pickup tap that keeps the system from drawing in air and allows you to use almost the entire tank before filling up. You must install the fitting as below so it goes all the way across the tank. Failure to do this will cause the system to draw air in. The plastic hose will fit in the fitting just like below without any glue. It will stay in place.

Mike
This was discovered after tons had issues, and for some this does not work cause the tubing moves around after a couple of days and draws air yet again.

You quote a price from you website is not fair when we are comparing the manf. website. Want me to post coupons for the DO kit and find it cheaper as well?

I have installed about 4-5 of those tanks and not a single one of the pickup tubes moves or sucks air. All work very well. Not sure what was wrong with yours. One of my customers just ran 11.6x with that exact kit so it works and performs well.

Here is the website pricing if it helps. If you are going to bash CM might as well get the facts right

$225 Coolingmist stage 1 http://www.coolingmist.com/detailmain.aspx?pid=cmstage1
$240 DO stage 1 http://www.alcohol-injection.com/uni...stage-1-8.html

coolingmist stage 2: $399.95 http://www.coolingmist.com/detailmai...?pid=Vc2stage2
DO stage 2 $375 http://www.alcohol-injection.com/dvc...age-2-305.html

You call it bashing. I call it speaking the truth. I only talk about things I've tried/owned. And the CM, imo (you know the reason this thread was started) is well behind the DO kit.

Sadly you need to find reasons to defend the kit since you make money off selling them.
Your customer in an auto fully prepped car ran 11.6, NICE
What did you run? 13 what?

It really depends on your tune/integration/failsafes/MONEY/tank size/controller.... a million factors. For my setup I want a pretty large tank that I can fit in my ski area(e93) so I am not satisfied with a standard CM kit. Their new kit looks very promising. DO has a nice 2.5 gal with pump mount and looks like it may just work for me. It really depends on what you want as the end user.

I decided on the DO and purchasing labonte FS separate. Using PROceed for the progressive control.

They are a company constantly refining the product. They also have a few new toys coming out soon that I think a lot of guys will like. I have run their stage 3 kit for a while and I cannot imagine buying another kit.

Mike that is all gravy, Dave from CM himself worked with me to get the tank working and it still didnt work, he even sent me a new pick up tube to try.

I then sold the tank to someone else so they can see what they can come up and THEY TOO had problems with the tank.

Not sure where the tank is at this point, pretty sure the best place is in a fireplace or as a place to store dog poop for long trips.

However it doesnt get past the fact the quick disconnect fittings are far from easy, or the old style nozzles were complete junk, and the meth switch is a near useless item as the adjustability of it leaves you guessing where your pressure comes on.

I'll repeat the amount of items that had to be replaced on my kit, to get the car working.

All Lines
Nozzle
Tank
Meth Switch

What's left?

Pump and the horrible fittings, and im thinking about replacing that too FWIW.

Sorry to hear about your troubles.

I have been running the CM kit with the amazing CMGS controller for a very long time without any problems what so ever

I have now installed their latest CM7 super atomizing injector with a (560ml/min flow) and checkvalve with intergrated filter and of course upgraded to the 90 degree nickel plated elbow & injector holders...so me a very happy customer.

The CMGS gauge alone makes me grin when ever i get into my rocket.

I been lurking on this forum for a year saw this and thought i could throw my 2 cents in.

I bought a coolingmist kit too. **** junk. The straps started bending the tank out of shape within just afew days. Its very thin plastic. I didn't buy it threw N54Tuning i was told by someone coolingmist would make better deals if you called them. So that's what i did. But since i have replaced my tank with devilsown tank. Its way nicer its very heavy. I have sense replaced almost 1/2 the system. Had to take vise grips to the nozzles to get them out, leaky fittings etc. I just was not happy. I just feel like "already had my money" so he quit really trying to help me out.

I believe you 100% as I went through the same thing except my pump broke as well. However this being your first post is going to make people question your opinion.
