Alot of JB owers that I have spoke to have the impression that the Can functions features will be incorporated into the tune itself like the V4....I told them it would be another module but they didn't believe me...Mike will the future JB4 have it incorporated into one module and tune together or this is it? If not, why would you not make it all in one package like V4.....

This is separate from the new JB3. The new JB3 will have this and much more incorporated.

A) don't have a BT tool
B) want the in dash displays now

This will also be packaged with JB+ and JB3 tuners soon similar to how the BT is packaged today, only at a much more attractive price given this tool does not do everything diagnostically that the BT tool can do. But it covers your basic read/delete codes, autodelete tuner/downpipe codes, etc.

So in December the new Jb3 will be almost exactly like the V4 which has CAN capabilities into the circuit board correct? I dont want to be telling people false info when indeed I am wrong!

Yes, the new JB3 will have full CAN capabilities plus some cool features that no tune currently has The idea of the new JB3 is not to match the V4 in terms of features, but to surpass it, while maintaining an aggressive pricing structure which BMS is know for. (i.e. a lot of goodies at a great price)

Will BMS be offering an upgrade option at a discount for current JB3 2.0 owners, like you offer for the Gen2 to Gen3 upgrade?

Why don't they reveal at least one thing that the Procede V4 doesn't do? I just feel like they copied the current Procede features but didn't bring anything new to the table...

And it CAN clear codes... but we're still gonna have to buy the BT tool. That was one thing I hoped BMS would fix about CAN clearing codes

I think you are mixing up the new JB3 and this tool. They are completely separate products. This is an addon CAN Tool, and not related to the new JB3.

For the average user who just wants to read/delete codes I don't imagine they will need the BT tool. The BT is a full featured diagnostic tool though and certainly has its place in the tool box for any serious enthusiast.

On the upcoming JB3 board you'll just have to wait for the feature set.

Yes. Actually to get the new JB3 board you'll be required to have bought a JB3. Then it will be treated similar to the G2->G3 upgrade program. Customers who bought a new JB3 from BMS or an authorized reseller will the best price and and there will be another slightly higher price for those who bought their JB3 used.

Will this product be upgradable? As you add more feature, will this pruduct be able to update with a firmware update?

Yes, BMS envisions they'll add on new CAN features for it as they develop them for the new JB3 board, as they use the same basic CAN engine. It has a serial port on the back end for loading new firmware.

Me and mike might have our differences but at the end of the day this is a neat piece to have.

Ignition timing and IAT are both very important tools to have. More so the ignition aspect. Combine that with code clearing and the other stuff goodies and this is a step in the right direction for the tunes mentioned above that dont have these capabilities yet.

If you cant see the benefit in that, you shouldnt touch a car.

See edit--- I really like that ignition option. Would like to have that myself.

Datalogging is cool but real time ignition, that is a first.

I would be too worried about kicking out the cable everytime I get in or out of the car. How secure is that thing plugged into the port 24/7? What happens if you do kick it out, or worse yet break the port by hitting it?

It's pretty sturdy. But if that is an issue for you perhaps the ECU install would be more your style. You have that option. OBDII port for easy use or in the ECU box if you prefer.

So the CAN tool can just splice into your exsisting dme harness in the ecu box as well?
However you didn't answer my questions. Is there any negative affect if the obdII port cable comes out during operation?

If you can install it inside the dme box that would be much better, cause like stated, I would break that off within a week 100 percent.

Doesn't matter if its unplugged driving around, etc.
