I'm having that same "issue" as the OP. Bone stock aside from Remus mufflers and 20 miles now on Procede V5. After 20 miles of light driving, I decided to floor it from a stop sign. It sounded as if an air hose had come loose. The closest I can describe would be using a air compressor air cleaning wand....lots of compressed air rushing out of a small outlet. It happens at about 50%+ throttle and is constant, not just a "swoosh". I've tracked my car 3 weekends before procede and never heard anything close to this. Got a half engine light with reduced power. Checked the code, only one I got (12140) was for exhaust flap, which I had not reconnected from my procede install.
UPDATE: After a few miles of spirited driving and pulls from stop, no indications anything is wrong aside from the air rush noise. It's louder than my exhaust under heavy boost. UPDATE #2: I found the problem. A recirculated air hose came loose. It's located just below the OEM air box and connects into the charge air duct. It appears the service tech did not properly reconnect it last week during HPFP and Injector (recall) installations. Last edited by tahoerdr; 06-18-2011 at 08:10 PM.. |

i took my car to the dealer while it was still under warranty (past week) and they replaced both turbos due to a loss of boost pressure. something to do with the wastegates, they said. i was not expecting them to be so forthcoming, but i'm glad they were. my car felt like it was modded after all the work they did.
