it is not tracable by BMW.....PROcede is an interceptor, and invisible to the ECU...so it doesnt logg it.

I know someone who was accused of having procede, they sent his ECU data to BMWNA and it came back 100% clear

We can tell if the proced is installed by lookin at the adaptations in the dme i checked mine after installing my procede and driving for the weekend and the adaptaions are way off which i expected. BMW NA knows wut the adaptations look like with the procede installed so they know you had it installed.

How long would the ECU take to fall back to "normal" adaptions if you removed or bypassed the Procede?

In other words you bold-faced lied to your BMW service guy. Then you threatened to sue them. Do you have a conscience? Sounds like you got a lucky break!

BMW doesn't really call it Long term fuel trim... they call it "Multiplicative adaptations" which is part throttle loads. "Additive adaptations" is idle.

Yeah I figured +30% is going to trigger something. Best to reset the ECU and drive around before going in.

I havent ried to see how long it would take to bring them down in this car but usually if you cruise on the highway to 10-15 minutesd they will come down.

There is a way to reset even permenant adaptations, something involving a jumper cable and the battery. But driving it for a time period without the PROcede will also do it, problem is what do you do if the car isnt driveable.

Disconnect the battery and leave it that way. Say you didn't want it to drain sitting on their lot if anyone asks.

Are you just blowing off the consequences of the initial decision to break your agreement? I'm trying not to be judgemental, cause that starts stupid wars, I'm just a little incredulous about the overt entitlement attitude. I'm glad you shared you experience so those interested can learn what to expect. That is, what BMW's position is on third party mods.

I've sort of been in a similar situation. I've spent over $10K on heavy mods (and another $10K or so on repairs) to another car, but those mods weren't in the form of "secret box" and all were specifically done after warranty expired.

I actually take my 335 to the dealership with all the mods on, they try to void my warrenty and i bitch like hell. Always worked for me, dunno exactly how but it somehow got me outta paying for a clutch and a list of other things.
