Just as VRSF DPs are are a healthy medium between racelands and AA AE AP and MS Downpipes, Is there a fairly inexpecnsive quality FMIC?
BTW. DPs came in today. Super excited! |

Ok, Downpipes are in and i am a bit unahppy. Not sure if its an improper install, or i just expected the wrong thing. Under load i hear what sounds a bit like a scratchy rattle (like a rattle snake) and at idle i hear what sounds like flapping or putting like an old car. Any ideas?

That would be wastegate rattle. It's not actually the downpipes that caused it. You always had wastegate rattle but the downpipes allow you to hear it through the exhaust since the catalytic converter is removed and not muffling the sound.

With downpipes waste gate rattle is more pronounced. But not heard during acceleration. Sounds like your dp might be hitting something from being installed improperly.
Most likely they just need a slight adjustment to fix the position. As for me I have wg rattle also, but it's only at lower speeds and mostly while crusing in neighborhoods or parking lots in 1st and 2nd. |

Could be your exhaust flap in your drivers side tip. I know PROcede has a good wastegate rattle fix. Jb4 might have adopted this practice too.

No i havent tried any digital fixes. And the rattle seems to be coming from up near the engine, if i stnad directly behind the car and have someone rev it, the car sounds perfect.
