Anyway, we missed you Scflaw. Needed some Cobb representation! There were 5 Procede cars, 1 Cobb, and 1 JB4.

pl post the group photo on the facebook bimmer (hk) group, then we can tag ourselves there

Differently areas of finance/investment banking mostly. It's really a strange world out here. Housing and cars are very expensive. The 4000sqft house I've been fortunately enough to stay in has a market value of 25-30 million USD. For that kind of money in the US, one could buy something far more socially irresponsible And all those exotics pictured above costs nearly twice a much as they do in the States. The advantage of living here really only applies to the very rich since income tax is far lower and capital gains tax is nonexistent. Unfortunately, that doesn't apply to most of us

Even with a 58mm I think you would enjoy the added power of a single. Shiv took me for a ride and I was shocked at how hard the car pulled all the way to redline.

Although, I'm also playing with e85. 50/50 mix I'm targeting 19lbs Boost at 3750 to 5500 rpm... DynoJet 338kW@5600rpm and 694Nm@4094rpm... So hopefully Shiv can make some good numbers for you. I actually was having Trim issues and ended up replacing my HPFP to get my Trim targets inline. So if you see anything funny with your trims maxing out, drop a new HPFP in and it should have fix the issue. Hopefully the new pumps will hold up longer than the older ones.

Good luck with your tuning and hope you have a great time while Shiv is there.

One of us will probably need to volunteer to have our car shipped to across the Pacific if they're going to make the kit for right hand drive vehicles. Most of us in HK are tune only, and we simply don't have enough room to lay down all the power to its full potential. You guys in the US are spoiled with limitless space. Shiv did have a look at the steering column placement while he was doing some E85 sensor testing on my car, and apparently it shouldn't be too difficult to retrofit the kit they've already developed.

Unfortunately, Shiv was doing sensor testing only. We don't get E85 here. I sacrificed my car for you guys in the US. Honestly, I was a little bit scared when he opened up my ECU box and started biting on the wires like a baboon!

In all seriousness though, there is literally no room here. Shiv needed me to do a couple of second gear pulls while he was hooked up to the PROcede and i kept running out of road. I'm a little weary of flipping two cars in one year, so I'm gonna stick with my tune only setup for a while!

Glad you managed to figure out your fueling issues. Your car sounds like an absolute beast

We're having a good time over here, but Shiv is a little bit sensitive to the humidity, what an overgrown fairy

Haha, I have a mental image of Shiv with a monkeys body ripping through your ECU wires.

Yeah, keep it safe. I don't get much time to open it up due to the heavy traffic in Portland OR. But once in a while I can get a good third gear pull. The car is truly fun to drive. I need a few more toys like an LSD to keep car in a straight line...

Tell Shiv to suck it up... Not everyone can live in the Bay Area. Although it doesn't get real hot in Portland, we do get rain 8 months out of the year.

Hope all is going well. Look forward to seeing more pics when you have time.

Astute observation Jeff! The owner recently bought his car used with an early Rev 2 unit already installed. The firmware was so old, even Shiv had forgotten how it worked! I guess it was still running stuff from the early CANbus integration days where the CEL indicator flashes to tell you which map you're in. I'm going to help this guy get his unit out and have it sent back to Vishnu so it can be upgraded to Rev2.5 so he can run the latest maps.

Haha. I know that look. I've done my fair share of tuning on this car and others. Sometimes you look at the screen blindly, especially when others are watching, hoping for a hint!

That E93 has the full Kerscher body kit, it looks downright evil! The owner is a plastic surgeon, go figure

Yes, its a crying shame. We get really high octane gas here too. Shiv left for Taiwan today to tune the single turbos but he updated my maps to stage 3 before he left, and wow! I thought the car was fast on stage 1, now the car is like a freight train on crack! I can't imagine what all your cars running E85/Meth/Upgraded Turbo's must feel like

What octane are you running ? You car has no other mod than Procede right ? I'd be interested to know what stage I can run with the 100 octane gas I get here.

That's right, no performance mods other than PROcede. Gas stations here are aren't required by law to state the octane content because there is a minimum government standard of 98 RON. However, I'm not sure what the MON value is, so I'm going to have to log to see if my car is running okay. I'll need some help from you guys though to read my logs though

If you've got 100 octane fuel in Switzerland (RON+MON) / 2, you should be fine on the stage 3 maps.

Cool thanks for these informations. I'll try that soon, maybe not this weekend as an exceptional heatwave is passing through central europe.

As I understand it, mainly based on reading the octane rating article from Wikipedia, 100 RON is actually equal to 100 MON, hence equal to 100 AKI (100+100)/2 = 100. So 100 octane is supposed to be the same everywhere.

I'll take some logs too. Maybe I'll go shop in Germany to do some Autobahn testing

Edit : My bad, the Wikipedia article states that the Shell V-Power we get in Germany/Italy (and probably Switzerland) is actually 100 RON and 88 MON, so 94 AKI. Still, I think the 98 RON gas you get in Hong Kong is probably the same that we get here, so 87 MON. If your car runs ok with that, mine should be happy running on 100 RON.

That's what Shiv suggested, but he said to keep an eye out for dropped timing under WOT. What do you mean by which version? My PROcede is a Rev3 V5 running the 4-23 maps.

That's what I use too, Shell V Power. I think it's very similar to what you guys get in Western Europe. Give us an update once you've made the change. I'll post back once I've had the chance to drive the car more and do some logs. right now though, the thing feels like a beast. It's like driving with my PROcede for the very first time again.

Good luck man! Hope the heat wave doesn't get too bad. I had a Swiss girlfriend for a while who was very hot. Unfortunately the crazy/hot quotient didn't work in my favor.
