black leather
xenons
light washers
sparkling graphite -my wifes choice i prefer tit silver
grey top tint to windsceen

I quite like the idea of nav -i drive but i dont go any where to use it but it looks so cool

what about sunroof ? does any one have any suggestions
i will keep this for 3 years and also as i found out with my x5 px no one cares how much you spend on extras its just book price (trade) so i dont really want to buy anything i dont see a return on is nav worth 1970gbp? minus 11% of course
Scooba, I've got to agree with Paul- you'd be better off minimising your options & just choosing what you are 'really' going to use.

So, in your situation, I'd suggest you leave off the idrive (nice- I know, I've got it, but not worth the cost) & leave out the leather.

The xenons are a great piece of kit, albeit expensive.

Having used them on my e90 for the last couple of years, I've got to say I wouldn't get another car without them, but there again, I do drive more than 3k a year!

TiAg is an easy-to-look-after colour & doesn't look too bad on a bright day!

Concerning the xenon headlight washers: Courtesy of E90Fleet:

"The official word is

They are switched on during the first wash after pressing the start/stop button AND lights are switched on

It is then off for 7 minutes UNLESS you operate the windscreen washer 5 times within those 7 minutes"

Cordial (you don't mind me calling you Cordial, do you, Carlos?), Is that first part a question, statement or just words of wisdom?

The above shot is of my e90 dipped beam xenons only- not DRLs.

On the e92, the DRLs should look something like this:

Carlabunga, you can see if your DRLs are on/off in iDrive.

If you want to see the difference, take a pic with your DRLs +/- main beam on, then turn the DRLs off in your idrive & take another pic.

Oh, as you'll probably want to know how to turn the DRLs on & off with iDrive...here you go!

Aren't xenons standard on the e92?

If you have the round 'Angel eyes', then you DO have xenons!

So, Carbuncle, you DO have xenons!

Viv

BTW- if at any stage, you feel my name-calling to be at all inappropriate, then please mention it- I'll try not to give a sh*t!

The halogens are 'yellowy' & are used for the DRL beam, as far as I remember.

Yep its a 35W H7 bulb thats used for the DRL and its located in what what you would imagine to be the headlight unit. This 'headlight unit' is now only ever used as a DRL/sidelight. The outer xenon unit handles both dipped and main beam.

3k a year

If any one thinks im joking about mileage ,go to chandlers brighton bmw web site look at there second hand cars find the x5s and you will see my sterling grey 3.0d sport for sale 10,800 miles in 3 years or 3600 miles pa to be exact .The one thing i was dissapointed with was even with the very low mileage it was still only worth basic trade no extra was allowed for the ultra low mileage ?? the x5 lost £18,025 in 34 months ,cars /depreciation go hand in hand i guess .but it was a bmw and never went wrong or had to visit the garage for a service work ,just filled it up and drove her i actually miss the big beast now its gone ,I let the garage have it two months early because i wouldnt need it over the summer holidays ,and chandlers gave me a july trade figure in stead of october we agreed it was loosing 500 a month and would require a mot and service so let it go early
