I reset the Journey Computer when I fill up but mainly from habit, just fill & forget when I need to - I don't bother keeping any records of mpg or mileage

Normally 360miles exclusively on fast A-roads and a small amount of town. Add a bit of motorway in and that goes up to 400miles. Exclusively motorway driving? I've never tried but i should think in the region of 450miles. Current average consumption over the last 18months is 25.6mpg.

27.4mpg since owning my car, it never changes much. Never pay much notice to miles per tank, fill it up when empty.

I don't reset the trip, I just record the amount I put in on the "Road Trip" app.

I use the road trip also. Find it very good. Still normally reset the trip though.

That's bloody good that Phil. That's nearly twice as good as the m and power isn't that much different either.

Always used the trip and always have as a habit. Think it's from riding motorbikes with no fuel gauge and wanting to know when I'd need to fill up!

Started using Fuelly.com just to keep a track to make sure nothing's off. Not hugely bothered by high mpg (d was for the massive torque) but a drop would show something was wrong.

Usually get between 340 - 420 a tank depending on route. Work is only a 12 mile trip and sometimes with a chunk of traffic before the motorway so you're just burning fuel stationary.

I really could not be doing with only sticking in 20 here and 20 there!

I full tank every time. 85-87 quid of V-power And get about 180-200miles a tank.

325i (3.0) auto e92, 220miles from a full tank (58 - 60litres), 90% London driving 10% motorway/A roads, trip comp always shows between 18 - 19 mpg

Think this is the only draw back of owning an M but it good fun burning the fuel off

I live in North London and work in Bournemouth so will be doing some mileage in mine.

56 Plate 320D M Sport

Filled up £83 @£1.45.9 = 56.89 Litres and managed 512 miles so 40.8mpg

Thats 350 Motorway and 160 town, all driving not takin fuel economy into account, 90mph ish on (private) motorways etc

I did think it would be a bit better, but it's good enough.

its all relative to the driving you are doing though and the way you drive. London driving is a nightmare...the constant stoping and starting kills your mpg regardless of the engine size or type. On the motorway its not just your average speed but your aggressiveness as well. I can get 36mpg in my 325i on the motorway but that pampering the right foot and gently getting up to speed whenever i've been slowed down. Yesterday I got 28mpg on the motorway!...nuff said! lolol!...i need to enjoy the 3litre lump else should have got a 318i!

See my fuelly sig. I reset the trip every time because I've always done it and it's habit now.

I always fill the tank too - can't be doing with £20 here and there. I'm going to use the same amount of fuel whether I make 4 stops for £20 or 1 for £80, so by filling up completely I save myself time standing at the pumps in the freezing cold.
