How about just using something like http://amzn.to/1j7Waeh and just cutting it to the right length?

Because the price will be the same and the fit will be like OEM. No guess work or mistake cutting a $60 piece of silicone.

I was thinking the same thing. I use to have a 06 si and had the same company hpf or hps intake boot which improved flow and heat temp. this would be perfect for 328i NA guys in combination with
euro intake,
afe header,
afe midpipe,
PE exhaust,
mishimoto 335 6mt performance radiator (still in testing)
3IM... my perfect setup!!!!!

this hose would have to be the stupidest thing to risk a warranty on that I have ever seen.

DIY shows using a chrome elbow, personally, I didn't want chrome - painted the elbow satin black...
Yeah, but it's a pain in the ass to get in there just right.

If he could have a silicone made that's the same angle/bend as the OEM one so it lines up perfectly, it's would be much easier and greatly welcomed imho.

No different than the charcoal filter delete, CDV delete or muffler delete. Most of our cars are out of warranty anyways. If +6hp gain is seen on E46 M3, why not give it a shot on our engines?

This is the one: http://www.spectreperformance.com/se...aspx?prod=8741

It isn't glamorous looking or the "smoothest" design out there, but it works and honestly with an engine bay that is covered in black plastics you don't really even notice it's there.

Your gains of 5hp & 10tq w/ the hose & muffler delete are noteworthy, granted your is the N54. I do wonder which of the 2 mods did the most... other then the silencer port and that other round imprint the OE hose is not that contorted.

Great to hear that from a vendor. There is almost always a cheaper alternative out there for most mods. I am going for an exact fit replacement similar to what samco or other silicone companies are doing. Should have a better idea about pricing in a couple weeks. Glad most of you guys are interested.

I think the straight ends need to be longer in order for that one to work. Looks like it may be a little short based on the measurements.

UPDATE: Pipe has been sent out, waiting on reply from manufacturer.
