Another 7D MkII shot. This is a big, old buck waiting on a young, foolish buck to come over and fight:
I See A Young Buck With The Doe! by dcstep, on Flickr The shadow detail came up nicely. I find that DxO does a better job at adjustment than DPP, at least in my hands, so I do the Raw conversion in DPP, to a 16-bit TIFF and then finish it in DxO Optics Pro 9.5. I do apply Digital Lens Optimization in DPP.

Impressive shot. Very sharp and no color cast.
Nice shot, DC. Even at that resolution you get lots of good detail.

Great shots Dave and Rodny!
I will hopefully have some good 7D2 stuff to show off later in the weekend. Here is just a fun shot of my pal Lenny, just after being woke up from a Sunday morning sun nap. Sony Nex 6 shot. Lenny in the morning sun by lennycarl08, on Flickr |

Another 7D2 shot (go figure!). The autofocus on this thing is pretty amazing, even compared to my 1D4 and 5d3.

One more hawk from the 7D2. I think I may need to MA the 500 with the TC. I got a lot of soft pics using that combo, but it's hard to tell if it's equipment or technique

Well, the eye looks nice and sharp. Your DOF drops considerably as you go from 500mm to 700mm and you're shooting at f/5.6 there. Try shooting at f/8 and f/11 when the light is that good.

Big 7x7 White-tail Buck at ISO 1600
Backlit Buck by dcstep, on Flickr Love my 7D2. The AF system is right there with the 1D X, except for handling extenders on super-telephoto lenses. For this shot, I've got the EF 1.4x TC-III installed and it works like a charm. Dave
