But ... but .. the battery is still charging!

Although my first impression is WOW after 6 years with a Rebel XTi I can't believe what I've been missing with that viewfinder - oh my god!

On a serious note I'm going on a short business trip this week to Chicago tomorrow and then Boulder, Colorado on Thursday directly from Chicago. Bringing the 6D, TS-E17L, 24-105L, and the new trusty pancake. Hoping to really get to play with the camera with any free time I have. So I'll probably get some sunrise shots and night shots of both locations. That'll be good for a review

If you can, get out to the end of Navy Pier in Chicago around sunset. Should make for decent shots back into the city with that TS-E 17mm. Sunrise shots will all be out over the water.

Thanks Mark - even if I can't get out at sunset, sounds like a cool spot for some night shots. I'll probably walk downtown at night, too.

I've got a dinner to go to the first day and then back to the airport the next, so not sure if sunset will be possible. Wish I was staying longer now that I have my new camera

The river running through the downtown is also a cool spot for night shots with reflections. Just be damn careful with carrying the camera around at night. Keep your wits about you.

Chicago is very photogenic. Here's one from my last business trip there:

How long will you be in Boulder? We've had a lot of great sunsets the last few weeks, but weather is coming in starting this Thursday. If you're in Colorado on Saturday you can expect some nice snow, which can be very photogenic. Don't fail to go out in the snow if you're here.

Nice shot, Dave. Last time I did some shooting in Chicago I was still using a film SLR, and most of my photos sucked. Looking forward to redeem that a bit

Unfortunately I am in both cities only 1.5 days each, really about a day each once you factor in flights. Originally I was planning to extend and do some skiing in Colorado (would have been awesome) but due to work/business needs I can't extend my stay. I'm leaving Colorado late Friday afternoon.

I'll take what I can get, though.

Thanks! It's coming soon.

I did some ISO 6400 shots yesterday and wow, amazing. I'll post some shots up tonight. I was trying to refrain from taking pictures of crap just to take pictures but couldn't help myself

Signing off for now so I don't get kicked off the flight

I thought very interesting to have matte on one side and white on the other but then "wait, there is the reflection of the lights."
Then I LOLd.
Nice.

Yeah, Canon's newest DSLR ... it just started shipping this week. And yes, it is full frame. Got mine on Tuesday, hence the snapshot of the box.

Nice.
If you're talking about the front and center car, then you are correct. It is matte black on one side, and gloss white on the other. Our M5 is a similar design and our M3 is matte black/matte white.
