No. Market forces. USA is BMW's biggest market - followed by Germany and then the U.K. They have to price in any market at a level that will sell in that market.

Our price levels or even worse, German price levels, would result in no sales in the U.S.A. since their price would be way higher than all competitors.

Given the number of units they can manufacture because they sell in that huge market, unit production costs fall substantially which, I suspect, means that bread and butter living comes from the U.S.A. allowing them to pick up the cream from other markets.
