Is this a number you just threw out there, or are you confident the failure rate is that low?

I can not state with enough emphasis how frustrating it was getting those (excellent) units in the car. I mean its only two hours of my life, but its two hours I dont want to repeat if I can avoid it. And would rather not have something dangling outside the headlight box.

(Yes. An hour each side. I just couldn't apply "forward" pressure on the unit and twist it at the same time.)
We have sold over 1000 sets of Lux H8 and 1 Series lights, not to mention all the non H8 LUX lights. Out of those there have been less than 5 issues, and only 1 that was serious. We are issuing the recall only as a precaution.

yes, this 0.5% is an actual number, not something i just made up. I would never give anyone false information because that would be very misleading and not trustworthy. I've always been 100% honest with everyone, so i would never make up information like that.

For the power supply, it will need to stay outside the headlight, there are no other options.

just sent mine in today (overnight usps) and hope that by next friday I can reinstall them. Using my hoen foglight bulbs in the angel eye's for now since they're the same size and wattage as stock. I guess it was a good thing I was too lazy to replace those foglight bulbs last week. Actually, reinstalling the modified lux h8's should be easier this time around since the power supply won't get in the way when i'm trying to twist the h8's into place. I just hope they're back in a week to a week and a half. I'm tired of everybody asking what happened to your angel eyes?

There was a slight mix-up on the shipment of the Fuse Holders to me. I will be getting the new ones in a week or just over that. Once they come in i will make the change and then get them back to you

I want to see installed pics of the fixed lux H8's before I decided to let namo fix mine or ask for a refund.

If you received the units after February time, then yes, these are afected by the recall.

I'm in the Oct 2009 batch too, but mine still works -- anything we should be concerned about?

Its the same part number as before, the same link as always. The new version is an addition $5 to cover the extra supplies.

As long as you don't have a 10xx date code, you're fine.

What about howiedds' failed unit from the Oct 2009 batch? Was that related to the power supply, or something else? I don't mind so much if the product fails -- but if there's a risk of the bulbs causing damage to our headlights, you should let us know...Thanks.
