mostly it's awesome - but this could be a bad thing.

think outside the box here.

1) where did you get your car from !?!?
2) did it come with warranty !?!?

if anything breaks, and your car is under some kind of warranty, BUT THEY FIND THE TUNE, you're super fucked.

If anything breaks, you just do like the previous owner did. Put it in valet mode and voila.

If they scanned it ok before the sale, chances are they're gonna have the same results scanning it later.

I dont see why they would need to physically access the ECU when they can see everything they need to see from the OBD port in the cabin.

It would have to be something really major.

we have a member in the Texas Section that works there - his name is Vigorous.

go start an intro thread in the southwest section - or at least post up in the Houston Thread

I left a Innovate wide band 02 sensor plugged into my last car I got rid of.

I still got the data logger if anyone wants one!

Unless the car has issues right now I think you're safe. Also nice to have that warranty

I'm going to assume map 1 is the safest for stock, 2 is lightly modded and 3 is for more modded and 0 for valet.. Is this correct?

Still wondering how to check for codes and how to clear them. I'm going in for wastegate rattle tomorrow and need to have my bases covered...

Thanks again guys!

Also, is it safe to just change mapping on the go? Should I stop and park or something? It just seems way too easy... Lol

map 1 is probably 13.5 lbs of boost
map 2 is probably 14.5 lbs of boost
both of these can be set to whatever you want. Connect the procede reader on your laptop, hit the red connect button, then go to user maps -> user adjustable parameters to reset values

map 3 is no boost mode

map 0 is valet mode (stock boost)

map 4 you don't need to worry about

to read codes, connect your laptop, with ignition power on and doors shut, press the gas pedal once, you will see the half engine light, any codes will show up on your computer screen in the top right box, it will be a 5 digit code, use excel file for reference. press the gas pedal down again to erase any codes, you will see half engine light come on again to verify.
