This thread is about BMS PBX and not a comparison to the other tune. I would hope a 500 dollar tune is way better than this less than 200 dollar tune.

By the way where "outside of Philly" are you?
Pull is when two cars, running side by side, both go WOT(floor it). It's a good way to see real world power differences.

I'm in the Malvern area.

Certainly not when there are good options out there.

Didn't realize I was a promoter of OFT. Did they ever get their product to market?

This is a public discussion forum cupcake, expect a discussion.

That said, if your argument is that it is cheap and worse, I'm certainly not going to debate you.

Well pull we shall my fine sir. Thanks for dropping some knowledge on me haha. Not sure what car and mods you're running though. The PBX is the only performance mod I have installed so far.

for $100, the pbx is a great way to eliminate the throttle lag. as long as people aren't buying these expecting big gains in power, they work well. just using the throttle mapping alone is worth it on the automatic cars.

I've paid 500$+ for a real tune and notice almost no difference, that being said, I regret not going with a used PBX instead, as I think a tune for the 330i won't do much more than the PBX, for a 328 and especially the 325 I would go with a tune obviously

You got an OFT - everyone else with a real tune is absolutely satisfied, myself included.

Eccentric Shaft error - when I cleared the code and adaptations the car was COMPLETELY transformed. More torque, throttle response and mid/top end power.

Until I find the time to change the senor, the car will go back to driving like poo.

Well I have to say I expected this just to be a "wow way to bump a 3yr old thread" battle, but now I'm intrigued.

I actually meant with OFT.

I'm working to see if I can get upgraded gasket for us for that sensor, seeing as it only fails as a result of the gasket failing and flooding the electronics with oil.

Actually people with a 325/328 are very satisfied with the OFT tune, even one guy with a 330i who gave me the good feedback on the tune and was the reason why I've taken the decision to finally go with OFT.

At the beginning I thought it was only me, although I saw a few other people posting the OFT tune thread that had similar or lack of performance improvements.

TheStig: What happen with OFT, is that I bought their tune, followed every step as indicated to update my car, however besides "maybe" an improvement over 5000rpm, haven't notice much, not even on the throtle response, only difference I see is if I reset the adaptations, however with time it seems to adapt back to it's original setting.

That being said, s*** happens, however after numeros email for more than 1-2 months, Shiv never got back to me, I've send him log files, etc... The fact he doesn't have time to look into it right away and may take a few weeks I don't mind, but he never got back at me at all, not even to confirm he got my email.....all I want to know if he applied the intended changes on the file he send me, doesn't seem complicated to me....

If the file contains all of the changes and the car just doesn't perform better, than well I'll live with the choice I've made to get the tune and not complain about it as I'm doing now.

Please do, I think I got the worst of it though. Living in FL with summer temps in the high 90s probably has a lot to do with that.

Just return it, they aren't delivering on the product.

It's probably to late, I've bought it more than 1-2months ago, I was hoping to getting the tune resolve and not having to return it, now yeah if I had the choice I would defently return it and go another route...

Call up your credit card company.

This is why I use AMEX. They are absolutely brutal when it comes to patron protection. No questions asked, just back in my account.
