Ok, and finally, the nighttime shots. High beams, low beams, and fogs lamps all running the new MTEC Super White 4350K bulbs. The corona rings are running the LUX E90 Angel Eyes.
I absolutely LOVE this bulb combination, the car looks amazing! Now if I can only get my corona rings to run as the DRLs. I'll need some help doing that. |

Just a quick note, the camera shows a blue tint in the unlit high-beam lamp (first two photos). That blue tint is NOT visible to the naked eye (I had to dial down the camera exposure by 2 stops to get these photos, otherwise the headlights would have been over exposed.)

Nice shots!
In pictures mtec 4350k bulb looks very crisp white, maybe I should try those in my fog lights. What do you think, is there some kind of difference between gp thunder 7500k and mtec 4350k light colour? I have gp thunder 7500k bulbs at this moment but they are not as white as my angel eyes. Also that low beam bulbcover is still mystery for me, can you buy one and install afterwards or is it integral part? Last edited by dotzmugello; 02-10-2013 at 05:04 AM.. |

Going to buy the MTECs before buying the higher priced Philips Diamond White. |

One thing I noticed is in one of the pictures you have just the Halos on. Now I have the same car and my halos never run by themselves like that. Did you code it differently or am I just stupid. (I have the same exact car) |

Halos-only photo is parking lights. But, I have since coded my car so that my halos run as the DRLs.
My only complaint about the LUX LCI-Halogens (as DRLs) is that they are somewhat dim in the daylight. |

Yea, with the Lux LCI halogen AE under bright day is not that bright but during dusk and at night it looks great vs stock.
If you want white light, the Philips Crystal Vision is good. Got a hint of light blue on the bulb but when on is brighter and whitter than stock |

Really?! Well thats not good news. I have heard that using HIDs in the halogen casing is not a good idea. I would like to run HIDs though. Is this true or should I just stick with bulbs? If bulbs, which ones produce the most clear (white/blue-ish) light.

Just a quick follow-up to my posts from earlier this year (I keep getting emails about what type of bulbs to use).
First, it's now 9 months since I posted about the MTEC headlight bulbs and the LUX angel eyes. The MTEC bulbs are still going strong, no issues at all. The same is true for the LUX LCI-Halogen AEs. A lot of people are asking me what bulbs to use. The low beams take H7 bulbs, the high beams also take H7, and fog lights take H8 (my car is a 2011 328i with halogen lamps). So, you will need to order 2 packs of H7 bulbs (2 bulbs per pack, so 4 bulbs total), and one pack (2 bulbs) of H8 bulbs for the fog lights. Again, I used the MTEC Super White 4350K bulbs for my setup and I'm still very happy with the combination. My ONLY complaint is that the LUX LCI-Halogen AEs aren't as bight as I'd like when viewed during the daytime. Steve |

I am a new BMW owner and the dull yellow lights are killing me -would love to get rid of them ASAP... I was just wondering where you purchased the bulbs? Also, did you purchase the LUX LCI-Halogen AE's from the vendor on this forum? Thanks, Kev |

I bought the MTEC bulbs from mteclightingusa.com ($29.95 per pack of two bulbs). The H8s are MT-481, the H7s are MT-440.
I bought the LUX E90 LCI-Halogen from luxangeleyes.com ($175). |

Anyone have any thoughts on these bulbs? If I were to get these, would I just get a set in style H7 and another set in style H3? |
