By the way, final numbers for the 335is are:

Coupe: 3,597

Only 55 cars were built without a moon roof. Out of those 55, 12 cars were pre-production test vehicles. That means only 43 people actually specified the no moon roof option.

Convertible: 3,396

Where are you getting this info from? Mine was a May build so it must be in one of the last few hundred built.

Add one more 335is Coupe to the list. My friend lost his white 7-DCT coupe a few months ago. A van driver ran a red light and into a truck in the adjacent lane, which in turn side swiped my friend's is and pushed him sideways into a light pole. Fortunately, he escaped with minor bruises and no serious injuries. Car was totaled however.

If these numbers are correct, it will still be a rare vehicle. Within the next 3 years more likely about 50% of this number will be reduced, not to mention the majority would be lease.

Whoever got a 335is hold on to it for dear life. Spend the money on upgraded turbos and suspension instead of leaning to an M4.

There are going be lots of sceneries of N54 DCT beating up the S55 DCT.

No offense, but your assertion that half of these cars will be totalled, etc. within 3 years is absurd.

None taken......There are two reported totaled in this thread and more than a hand full reported in 2013 just alone here on E90post scattered abroad. I am also a forum member on 4 other BMW forums from this one.

Absurd or not, doesn't matter, that's what the "trending" numbers and other factors suggest with the new M4 and M235i coming out there will be some flanagling. Its a human thing

consumers aren't the goody little two shoes you think . Also, BMWs for some reason have a damn magnet attraction to getting hit, especially when parked.

These cars will be an absolute rare. The verts may be around longer but the coupes will become extinct.

Wow... So my 6MT coupe is rarer than my bosses 1M (740 for NA)

That is crazy and I am most definitely, as planned, holding onto this thing for a long time.

Oh, and there were a number totaled in Sandy also.
