Hmm, not keen on colour coding that bit. The black diffuser contrast with the silver body is what give the rear of the car its shape IMO, but each to their own of course!
And painting is a whole load of hassle, messing about, time off work, another couple of hundred quid and then it won't match properly. Why don't they just make it out of black plastic like the original M sport one? |

The longer of the two pieces comes primed for spraying. BMMiniparts only sell OEM parts,my dealer would match their prices (more often than not),so you save on the shipping.

I'm still a bit confused: realoem diagram here: http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...17&hg=51&fg=95 BMW_direct (amazon) diagram here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/BMW-Performa.../dp/B004V4I98Q The amazon diagram (BMW_direct) shows a separate centre piece, number 10, which the realoem one doesn't. Is this the centre section Ian? I take it we're not talking about the cover strips (3 & 4 on realoem), which are black also? |

It's on the list for sure.
Great thread here, scroll down a bit and there's all manner of 'rear end' shots. Damn USA with all that sunshine...... http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=333965 Its an E90 thread, but there is still a variety of one piece, two piece, primed and black variants.... Including Yahoo! / Ben (uk member) on post 10 with his tourer, showing it in unpainted black. A bit more reading required! |

Looking at some of the pics in the thread above,it does look like some saloons and tourers have a two piece diffuser,as opposed to a one piece. Mike it's worth double checking that the saloon/tourer diffuser is only available as a one piece, because with the coupe it works out cheaper to buy the two parts separately, strange, but true. My old performance diffuser, the central part as shown is how it came from the dealer, the other part came primed, which was then sprayed body colour:

Thanks Ian,
The coupe one won't fit obviously. So I can't order the coupe parts. But there is only 1 part number listed for the E90/91 but 2 different parts listed for the coupe, and the realoem diagrams support this. There maybe different types, but it's hard to find out. I've spoken to BMW parts and they won't order one without pre-payment and no chance of returning it as it's a special order from Germany! |
