I can deal with being 15-25hp down to know I've got the reliability to back it up, built by guys who have been tuning BMWs forever. They are about the same even in a drag race. Seem to be putting down the same numbers also.

Use his URL to view the site, mine does not work for some reason. this article states that the ENTIRE AA combo package (xede, exhaust, bov) adds 45 hp? If that's the case then why on their website to they say "PERFORMANCE - To 385+ HP / 385 Ft/Lbs Torque " JUST FROM THE XEDE Omar/Jean, can you clarify? |

i'll let AA respond because it could be many things.. maybe the article has a misprint.. not 100% sure on this, but possibly could be a wheel hp vs crank hp difference?

So is the 385+ hp posted on your website at the crank or at the wheel?

Is the power delivery smoother with the latest AA Xede map?
Also, one of the things I wish was a little better about the car is that even though power kicks in early, it sort of dies down toward redline. Does the Xede help in this regard? |

Omar is right.. Complementing the tune is the best way to go for now. Intercooler being the best option by far. Exhaust is a must for more power. Everything else at this point is pretty moot. I mean if straightline speed is your thing get a LSD and shave a couple tenths off your 1/4 mile time. The tune is perfect as is and it is in no ones best interest to push the envelope on these cars. The gains past 13 psi are extremely minimal and all it is doing is putting more strain on your cars parts. The new R7 map is fantasticly smooth. Rest assure that your car running AA Xede software will last for the life of your car not just a couple thousand miles.
