I hate when they just pull ppl off the busy street and backed up all the traffic.....thanks for helping the already congested LA traffic!

They can pretty much do whatever they want with probable cause. So if they see your rear windows are tinted (which IS legal) they have probable cause that your front windows are tinted as well and can ask you to roll up your windows

Same thing happened to my friend. Police asked him to please roll up both windows and got a ticket for tint.

Sure he can. There's no way my friend would've won the fight. The car is dark grey with black wheels..probable cause would've/could've been "the kid tinted his windows to go along with the dark theme".

haha, i was thinking that too. But i dont know where to ziptie my plate to. I dont want to have the top of the plate zip tied to the mesh, but have the bottom just dangling around because i have no where to tie it too and have it hitting my bumper

Yeah, just to throw it out there for guys that may not know it. The legal specs in California is no tint in front, and anything you want in the rear windows and windshield.

I remember when we used to shit our pants when we would get pulled over by the cops and would prey that it would be just a fix it ticket like tint and not get sent to the referee station for an actual smog and visual test.

Well...the zipties cannot be re-used....so when you take it off...you'll need to put new ones when you get pull over again...

You can get foam stripes and tape it on the back of your plate to act as cushion against the bumper.

Or another method is a bracket that mounts to the license plate on one side, and mounts to the tow hitch on the other. It's been posted on this board before...doesn't look the best. But it works and requires no drilling.

Right, but it's been stated that some people don't want anything drilled into their bumper at all, regardless of where the holes are...

That leaves 3 ways to go on about putting the front plate..double sided tape, zip tie it on, or the tow hitch bracket.

But the tow hitch one you can get on and off without any tapes and bolt holes...
