I know I was asking about stuff related to the Spectre hose earlier, but I really like how clean this would look in the engine bay. Put me down for one.

I'd be down for one also. Any estimated time when they'll be done?

The stock hose has been sent out to be copied. I am just waiting on the prototype to come in and test fit. Once I sign off on the fit/quality and give them the go ahead we should see them in 4-6 weeks. I appreciate everyones patience! Should be a great product.

Just FYI you might want to talk to the admin's on the forum before you start selling ANYTHING on here, even if its for little or no profit, don't want you to get banned like the last guy doing the custom down pipe group buy. Or PM a vendor on here and sell them through the vendor.

Thanks for the heads up. I will definitely offer these through a vendor. I am not trying to break any rules. Should have another update here soon.

Member pinoye90 tried a few different silicone hoses with no luck. There doesn't seem to be anything out there currently that fits correctly. Thanks for the link though.

Should see them VERY soon. It's a little difficult dealing with an overseas distributor. I appreciate everyone's patience. I am as excited as most of you to see these!

HERE THEY ARE!!!!

I finally got two pieces in on Friday and installed them over the weekend. The fit is good, and the quality is amazing! I had a 4 ply and a 6 ply produced. The 4 ply is what is currently installed on my car. I noticed an immediate change in throttle response with the hose installed. The revs seem to climb faster and I am noticing slightly more intake sound. Overall I am extremely impressed with the hoses. I will be creating another thread in the next little bit with more info!

Good deal

From your install pics it looks as if we need to retain a portion of the original duct on manifold side?

Yea there is a reason for keeping that piece, it has a nipple that a small hose from the oil separator connects to, N52N/N51 might be different since the separator is internal to the valve cover, but thats the way it is on my 330i.

Guess I haven't really paid much attention to the way the OEM duct attaches.

Ah, I see the part now in this diagram - Item #12

Correct. The silicone hose replaces the stock intake hose with silencer only. The 45 degree elbow needs to remain.

Should be $60 shipped. Should have that info from the manufacturer in the next little bit.
