Got my baby on Saturday-CS called me at 9:30am for the great news that my car had arrived and it would be ready by 2pm for pick-up. Car looks great and it actually exceeded my expectations. Can't wait to get over the initial break-in period. Only complaint is the speakers that come stock with the car are mediocre. Love the red ambiance lights at night and the satellite radio is SERIOUS! Hope all you guys got your new ride and are enjoying! BTW, I got the platinum bronze with the saddle brown interior and the combo is amazing! My salesman said when he had it parked people were stopping to take a look and asking about the car.

RYANBOZ7 are you having the dealer do the tints? Are you guys aware that the fcking car does NOT come with an alarm? It is pre-wired but it will cost $700 for the red "clown nose". For $40K+ the car should have a freacking alarm standard.

Are you serious?!!! It doesn't have a damn alarm? That's crazy.I just got mine in today finally!! I'm having a well known tint company do my tint without the huge dealer markup.Man,that sucks, now I'll have to go to the audio/alarm shop and have a damn alarm out on it.Oh well, enjoy your new ride!!

Ryanboyz, post pics when you are done. How is the long term durability of tint if you get a quality job? Im thinking of doing a light tint on my Alpine White E92. It does kind of stink having no alarm but with the exchange rate presently I believe we are lucky to get such an otherwise great car at its current price. I am extremely impressed with the initial quality of my BMW compared to my previous Honda. Granted it cost a quite a bit more. Is the alarm part of premium package maybe?

You know what,I got the premium package and haven't taken delivery so I guess I'll find out on Friday.I hope so,it would be nice. These cars look especially good with tint, not to mention it cools the interior down quite a bit.I have to have legal 35% here in Missouri on the front windows but the rest I'm getting at 15%.

No guys the audible alarm with the infamous red "clown nose" is not part of any package! Its a dealer installed option for around $700 total. Other than that my initial impression of the car is great! The red ambiance lights on the door sills at night are very sweet. Sirius satellite radio is awesome(they give you the first year of subscription free). Ride quality and handling are great as expected. So far tire noise and inside cabin noise are very minimum compared to my 05 330i which was loud as s pig. RYAN hope you talk delivery soon and tell us what you think of your "ultimate driving machine".

p.s. Do you know what the "lightest" tint is? I want to tint my windows but I don't want them to look dark or black.

Light and legal here is 35% which you can see in the car from a few feet away.It looks good, but I prefer a little darker but have to stay legal on the front two windows here.I'm taking delivery tomorrow morning at 11 am!! I can't wait...

Well Ryan hows the new ride? Give us your feedback both positive and negative. I don't know about the rest of you but the stock stereo speakers really suck!

I look forward to seeing your car. Do you know how durable a quality window tinting job is? I read somewhere on this forum where someone said because BMW windows are so tight where the go down into the doors that it sometimes scratches the tints. I am considering a light tint on mine but dont want anything that will scratch over time.

I don't think so on that.I had tint on my 98'M3 and never had any problems and I also talked to the tint shop I used and they said that the 3 series in general have never had any problems to speak of.Also,I read somewhere on here about getting felt put around the edges of the windows to protect it but my tint shop said I'd just be wasting my money to do so..

I know everyone experiences some degree of new car enthusiasm that may skew their perception of any new car initially but I can honestly say it is by far the best car I have ever owned. The power is plenty sufficient, handling is deceptively great and the engine and 6sp manual transmission is so smooth. 6th gear has an amazing ability to cruise quite and smooth with low rpm an 80mp while also still having enough pull up a hill at 55mph. I am not sure how BMW pulled this off. The engine is so rewarding to rev even though I am observing the break in period, I cant wait for that to end. My previous car was an 07 Civic Si which is no slouch in the handling department. This car takes my twisty mountain road better. I find myself taking corners at least 5mph faster without knowing it. I feel the initial build quality is excellent. The car feels like it was cut from a piece of solid metal. Of course I am comparing it to my previous Hondas. I guess car and driver said it best about the 328i coupe after a road test. They said it was like driving the best anyone has to offer but on airsoles when compared to the likes of the G37 and others. The car performs so well with a high degree of refinement.

My wife keeps making fun of me. I have had the car for a week and a half and I have already washed it about 5 times. I usually only do it twice a week.

How you liking your car?
