Guys just an FYI....

I'm hosting BMW Fest East 2009 on the 12th and originally titled it "Bimmerfest" but the lovely folks over at bimmerfest.com decided to threaten me/us with a suit since Mr. John Shafer owns the rights to the name. My suggestion is to change the name as I did to avoid any possible problems.

Best,

Sal

Sweet! That is great news Mike, good job! I can't wait!

Okay all it is official...it is now being dubbed Ohio BMW Fest 2009.

Thanks for the heads up, we never knew that the name was propietary. Sorry for any confusion. Thanks AutoCouture for letting us know...I hope you guys have a great event and I wish we could be there! You guys will sure get the turnout and have a much bigger event, but we will do you proud here in the Midwest...maybe next year we should do it together and find a mid point??? Oh well...thanks again.

Holly Shit!!!! Our's is growing too, but we will be nowhere near a quarter of that...WOW! Congrats, I can't wait to see the pics. From where we started to where we are now, it is night and day, and it has been a lot of work from a lot of the people on here and beyond. Our meet will be really fun and big for us, it is a good starting point and good to get together with a lot of the local guys and gals. We will post up pics! Next year maybe we should meet somewhere where we can get a lot of space and in between and dub it BMW Fest East Coast meets Midwest with few sprinkles of the South?!? LOL

Thanks again and cheers to you for a great event!

Sweet. I was just down there today getting my split center arm rest installed. Sat in that 750li. Its only 89k. I set off the alarm on the 5er in the show room. Oops..

I meant to mention the event to them while I was there, but forgot. Apparently you are all over it.

They are working on getting us more room. RunThis is all over it with The Greene. He can tell you, but I think they are trying to get another street or more room around there. I just want more cars and more of everything, it is a better problem to have too many cars and have to get more room than to have no cars and all sorts of space allotted. Let's just hope we get a great crowd and the weather cooperates. Pray to the BMW Gods!

Do know if they have/can set up some sort of contingency plan where if it rains as its predicted to do that maybe we could have some space in one of the rear garages?

Have you been tallying everyone's "I'm in's"? Any idea on how many people to expect?

Ok, so here is the deal. I just spoke to the greene today, and at this point they are blocking Juniper Way right where it interects with Holly Drive, they are also bagging all the meters on Magnolia Lane for us. We can also park cars on the grassy area, in front of Juniper way.

My guess is parallel parking, on both side of the street, we can fit 15-20 on each side with room in the Middle, if people need to leave. I'm told its about 12 actual meters on Magnolia that we can use.

They are looking to Block off Holly Drive IF we need it, but we think its a Fire lane so we may not be able to block that off. We will also have overflow Parking in the parking lot in the bottom picture that will be coned off for us as well. They are kinda using us to draw more business into this new area of the greene so I'm sure they are working hard to be able to fit as many cars as possible onto Juniper Way, and Holly Drive.

As far a contingency plan, they are looking at getting us space in the garage in the event of rain. I've been praying to the Bimmer Gods, that we don't need to use the contingency plan.

I wanna say Again Thank you to cincy335i, and hkyplaynazn - they have been doing work to get some verdors to come out and play!

Thanks for all the hard work. I can't wait to see the turnout and everything this weekend.

I really don't think they get much traffic down in that area so hopefully this will help them out some. You know you don't actually have to pay for the meters there don't you. Its really just a "donation."

I'm praying too.
