Angel Eyes - Lux 5.1 or MTEC

Hey guys, installed my Mtec v3 over the weekend and I must say im very pleased, worked like a charm the very first time didnt need to adjust anything. Glad I went this route, they are really bright and white they look better than the stock ones that comes on the new 5 series which has a purple effect the mtec are just pure white.

Hey just installed myMtec v3 and one looks brighter than the other. Definetely could be install error. I will reinstall later in the week but do other Mtec owners have this problem?

Check the installation again, and change the MTEC from one side to another and see if the problem is still there. ( I know it's a pain in the ass, but so far we havent seen any of the MTEC do that on arrival)

I have a 2010 328xi and my DRL are the yellowish color, if I want the white color that now come on the 2011 models, do I have to change the bulbs or the entire fixture?

Love my MTEC's, they look great when using the DAEOS DTRL.

I have V2's....whats new with the V3, just brightness?

the V3's are brighter than the V2, but we only carry V3's now

I would recommend the Mtech V3. I bought them from sonic tuning's website and they shipped them out quickly, I'm talking 15 minutes after I placed my order! The Mtech's look like they are built a little bit better than Lux 5.0's as the Mtech's have a full bodied aluminum heat sink and have no fitment issues. Install was easy and they look great. Also the Mtech V3 are 7000k color with no blue and bright white.

Here is a picture of what the Mtech's look like on my e90 in full daylight.

Note: this picture was take before I did any coding on my car, the angel eye's look much better now, I will post another picture soon...

looks great.. yea sonic tuning has ridiculously fast shipping.. im talking I placed my order for matte black grills and two days later they were at my door step.. I was like no way, impossible. +1 on sonictuning.com

Just ordered mtec from sonictuning. Is the install the same as lux? I only have an install guide for lux lol

Same installation procedure, you will find the installation guideline in the box.

Purchased a set of MTEC V3 over the weekend and got the bulbs in the mail on Thursday and installed the same day. Great product as described by Sonic Tuning. Very well built and worth the money. The AE are now at least twice as bright as before and can be very visible during the daytime and during the night are very bright. +1 to Sonic Tuning and MTEC for a quality product.
