I know Mike aka Simmply very well.
He's worked on all my Audi's and my mkV GTI as well.
He'll have some tricks up his sleeve !!

I'll just be watching these runs.

Let me know when it happens ! ;-)

Dont be alarmed by the hp figures, the S4 still has to deal with it's weight(nearly 1.8tonne with driver) and awd losses.

I'd be most interested see a low speed roll start up to 150mph.

I'm not trying to degrade the 335i by staging it to be outrun by a stage3 S4, heck, I'd even be proud and hoping for mine to come soon if it can hang on to the S4's tail.

Well, it wasn't a "claim" it was fact.
David, the owner of the B6 S4 tiptronic posted in this thread.
His car is chipped and has intake and exhaust...maybe a couple other things too.

I don't have an interest in running a Stage 3 B5 S4, I know they are fast when running.
I'd be more interested in running a modded B6 S4 manual as well as a stock RS4.

CEA 3...you have a manual correct?
You also have a custom exhaust on your 335i right?

I'm also interested in doing a couple runs with a PROceded 335i manual.
Want to see how the steptronic compares...even though the steptronics make about 10 hp and torque less to the wheels.

But if you have aftermarket exhaust, I know you'd walk me then, but would still be fun to see outcome.

I do not work for Harman, but yes, I did have a Legacy GT back in 2005 and into 2006. When it was stock I raced one of Kujo's buddies in his stock B6 S4 manual.

We ran several times.
Off the line I jumped him 1/2 car and held that until about 1/2 way through 2nd.
Then he'd pull up along side by top of 2nd and start to pull.
By top of 3rd he'd be 1 car length on the stock Legacy GT.

Rolling runs had same result. 1st or 2nd gear starts I'd always get a brief jump and in 3rd the B6 S4 manual would start to pull.

I added a base Accessport Stage 1 91 Octane map.
That alone would of given me enough to stay ahead of the stock B6 S4 manual probably well into triple digits. The Legacy's 4 banger would just run out of breath as speeds climbed.

We dont know yet until both cars actually line up. You cant base it on power alone. Gears, aero dynamics, traction, weight, and the all imporant driver come into play.

Instead of speculating we should all just go to the track. After that do some highway pulls and see wtf happens.

pardon my vocabulary(english isnt my mother tongue), but I dont really know much verbs that would be applicable in this situation.
To announce a fact? to claim a fact? to state a fact? to present a fact?

Anyways, in essence, I do not doubt what you posted in the first post of the thread, just that my choice of words caused some misunderstanding. Learnt that "state" would be a better option now.

I'm sure that can be arranged. You can talk to Walked U and CEA 3.

Well, I'll just wait for videos then. Gdluck.

Correction..since I had two of them...the B5 S4 sedan..6sp..was about 3550 lbs...stock...you put an aftermarket lighter exhaust..lighter wheels...and you are below that. My modified B5 S4 avant got down to 3550 once at an autocross event...and that is a wagon.

The B6 S4s are in the 3800 range though.

Im basing it off the fact that i had a B6 S4. I had everything done to that car short of a supercharger, it put down 260whp on Harmons Dyno with the Giac chip, intake, and exhaust. Audi's claim of 345hp is a bunch of crap. So you get a 14.4 second car for $65k (after mods) that rides great and looks awesome but doesnt really go that fast. The RS4 isnt putting down too much more (312whp) and weighs in at over 4,000lbs. Do the math. Audi fell off when the pulled the turbos out. I will still one day own a stage 3 B5 S4 built by Wicked Motorsports!!

We are talking about a rs4 not a s4. They are 2 differnet animals. Your basing your knowledge from owning a b6 s4?

Ive owned a b6 s4 also, with bolt ons. Your basing all your speculation from dyno graphs. Yes the 335i puts out more power to the wheels but theres more than just making power.

If you see one of my first post I posted all the facts that Ive seen on the graph dynos by the rs4 and mine after procede. They are very close in hp curve and torque.

But like I said before the best way to find out the truth is actually doing it in real life. It should be a real close race.

Hahah ok all BS aside here. I have been a huge audi guy before I got into bmw's.

Ive seen numerous dyno sheets of the v8 s4 and rs4.

One thing i can say about the rs4's dyno sheets are that the power beginning made (wtq) starts around 2300 rpm, and is very flat till about 5.7k then starts to dip down.

As for awhp it seems to be very linear and make power all the way to redline which is 8k.

rs4 dynos around 308-315 awhp and 251-254 wtq. (averaging dyno graphs)

Now that being said. Comparing it to my own dyno graph.

My power band starts from 2300 rpm goes flat all the way until 4.7k and starts to dip down but never goes below 250 wtq @ redline.

As for rwhp, its very linear now due to the tune. I make max rwhp around 5.3k rpms and stays flat all the way to redline.

330 rwhp @ 370 wtq. (I dont have a scanner, Im ghetto)

The dynos from the rs4 and procede 335i look very similar except for the 1k rpm differance. ( 7k redline from 335i & 8k redline from the rs4)
If I had a scanner I could scan my dyno sheet.

But anyways, we shall see what happens when we get some videos on it. Hope I dont lose so you guys dont eat me for dinner.

PS i hate drew
There you go so you dont have to search

You are right! I would run it just to see what happens! I personally hope the RS4 wins stock to stock, You would think its supposed to based on audi's claims.

Ya same here. It would be a very close race. Just basing off the facts from the dyno sheets and curb weight, the 335i has the upper hand.

But who knows maybe the rs4 has a trick or 2 up its sleeves.
