Sorry for reviving an old thread, anyone find a fix for this issue. Its been a thorn in my side for over 1.5 years. I just logged 30k miles on the last set of plugs and my new ones r doing the same thing. autohaaus Bosch oem plugs for both my current plugs an previous set. The original plugs never caused any shakes even at 45k miles.

Okay... I never checked the gap's since I didn't have that tool. I just assumed that since it's an OEM bosch and the exact part for my car... that it should have come gaped correctly? I'll have to talk with my mechanic and see if we can go back in and check the gap for each one.

Sorry, I have to bring this back.
I have the raised idle issue with my car immediately after replacing the spark plugs and 1 coil on cylinder 5. The work was done by the BMW dealer. I have tried an adaptation reset and that didnt work. I replaced a vanos solenoid that failed and that seemed to have fixed the issue for about 600 miles. My DME fried and I got a new DME installed. The "raised idling" / misfire at idle issue came back and now the car constantly idles at 750rpm again. I will be replacing my vacuum lines soon and getting a walnut blast but i highly doubt doing any of these things will solve the issue. Has anyone had success fixing this issue with a regap or some insane reset? |
