LOL, this thread is downright hilarious.
Apart from the fact you shouldn't even have a 335 in high school, you're going to get absolutely schooled by 2 of those 3 cars. It'll be a decent race between you and the M5, with the edge going to you. The CTS-V is going to beat you. The Cobra, if it's an 03-04, and since you said it's blown, it is (unless you have no idea what you're talking about, which is entirely possible), is going to downright destroy you. A *stock* terminator Cobra is a good enough race for a BPU 335i; a modded one, especially running a smaller pulley as you claim, is going to hand you your ass on a platter. He'll take your mother out for a nice seafood dinner, and *never* call her again. The 03-04 Cobra are severely underrated from the factory, which claims 390 crank hp stock. They frequently dyno about 10 less than that...at the wheels. With the mods you listed, I wouldn't be surprised if he's putting down 500whp. There isn't a need to race the CTS-V and the Cobra, you're just going to get owned. Plan a track date with the M5 once you get the Procede in though, should be a fun time. Don't go racing on the street. You wouldn't want to get your license taken away after you've only had it for a few months |

CTS-V (LS2 or LS6 depending on year) with an intake and exhaust (these engines aren't chipable, but you can buy shitty ECU flash programs that don't do much ) is not going to be hitting 500hp at the crank. His numbers should be closer to the ones that the cobra guy is claiming. Oddly enough if he really does have those mods (on the cobra) he is probably underestimating himself. |

You are talking about Vishnu Stage 1, i.e. Both Procede and Vishnu Exhaust. Has anyone dynoed Vishnu stage 1? I know some people have dynoed Procede with their own exhausts, but there might be differences in the aftermarket exhausts.

Kill me now
Anyone else want to vomit on themselves after reading this thread?
17 and 18 year old kids with M5s and Cadillac’s.....I'm trying to figure out who I want to smack more, the kids or the parents....I'm leaning towards the parents. No matter, odds are they'll be scraping their son off the road fairly soon anyway, maybe then it will hit home. *footnote, I don't wish death on anyone, and to loose a child must be the hardest thing in the world. I just have to wonder what some of these people are thinking though. As I anticipate a plethora of highly intellegent responses, ranging from, "you're just jealous" , I" worked hard for 3 summers to help buy this car", "I'm the best driver you'll ever see, and therefore won't end up dead", "I got a 4.0 GPA and therefore I deserve the car" , ......Blah, blah, blah. I'm always up for a good debate though and would be happy to chat. |

CTSVs share the vette drivetrain, just a bit more junk in the trunk. I would have gone that route, but I can't justify spending 20k more for a bigger engine and some minor cosmetics (versus the base CTS). 335i will get me by (and be the daily driver) until I can afford a Z06.

Think your situation through carefully. You own a BMW 335. It is not designed to be a drag racing car. Be cool and enjoy the car. Resist temptation to street race. What does it determine anyway? Are your friends with fast gas hogs better than you because of the cars they drive? Relax and be smart and safe. Guarantee the girls will appreciate your control and good sense. They don't want to get caught in the middle of some cock fight.
