you have to know if you have any more feelings for you current boyfriend. if you don't, do him and yourself a favor and break up with him yesterday. nothing can be worse for a guy than this "in between" stage when his gf is figuring herself out. it's like peeling a bandage off of a hairy leg really, really slowly. forget the dogs, cats, parrots, pigs, or whatever that you got together. if you feel you're through with him, let him go so that both you and he can start moving on.
i may be completely off on what's going on between you two, but i'm just judging from your posts

But anyway, sorry there Nik to hear your having trouble. I can't really relate to a relationship, so I have no advice about that. But I am the poster child for rejection. I've been turned down more times that I'll bet anyone here can even guess. I was even turned down by this chick back in college that basically lived with us in our apartment...she was with practically everone in our crew except me. But keep your head up, enjoy your car, and get yourself a Tiffany & Co. watch or something. Yes possesions won't help you find happiness, but they sure can help your self-esteem in times of trouble.......or not |

Ok, after scaning through enroutte and shim exchanges, here is my 2cents on nikki's situation. So you and him have talked about it and still don't know what to do to make you feel special (not like a protective brother). Do you have anything in mind that you could throw at him as a hint? Maybe he should surprised you by buying flowers or maybe he should rent an adult film and you both watch together? would that spark some electricity into the relationship? Maybe have s*x in public places? Did you give him some sort of direction? Maybe he just need a push start to get back on the right track again.

That sounds harsh. Two dogs and a cat? Almost liking breaking up with children. If there's no fire in the relationship, maybe you two can fix it. Buy some kind of romance book from B&N or something. If you're not opting to fix it, then that implies that you're already anticipating a breakup.
I'm not sure how you're going to handle the dogs/cat as well - if you do end up breaking, who takes what? They'll be tokens carrying the stigma of a failed relationship, at worst. On the other hand, I've always thought that if a couple gets a dog/cat/kid, the couple would be more tightly bonded together, knowing that they now share a common responsibility. I feel this way with my two dogs. If some lady is trying to mack on me, I think of the dogs. Please, think of the dogs. Enroutte - you're like a clone of my g/f...always lovin' those man-made synthetics and animal byproducts (Tiffany & Co, LV bags/purses/leather, clothes, watches, shoes/heels, and did I already mention clothes?). Ok, I need to stop shopping with my g/f. |

It';s awesome that you know what your girlfriend likes and you can go shopping with her. I hate guys who think its "gay" to go shopping with their girlfriend. Grow some balls and SUCK IT UP. No one is going to think youre gay if youre shopping with your girlfriend. Some of my closest guy friends shop with me and I think that's awesome that tehy can do it and still feel secure. HOORAAYYY FOR SHOPPPINGG. One of the many joys of life. |

I shop with my g/f because she carrys a loaded gun.
My g/f is against fur too and would only get fake-fur, at worst. The irony in it all is that even when you girls are against fur, you still love them leather (animal product)! But I'm not complaining as much as my wallet. |
