So many variables at play here. Y pipes? X pipes? H pipes? Resonators? Mufflers? 3" all the way back or 2.5" all the way back?
Then we see a single 3" straight pipe exhaust split at the end: Hard to know 100% which way is the best way to go. |

Here is the latest revision to my exhaust. No mufflers, just high-flow cats and resonators. Hoping to get the car back on the road this weekend so I can hear the results....

Nice. Looking forward to more updates.
I'd specifically like more pictures of your lift/garage! I love that kind of stuff... Also, if you have time, I'd be interested in what "cats" you are you using and if it helps the "smell". Most of the Diesel Oxidation Catalysts I've looked at require a minimum temperature to initiate oxidation, and it's not looking like my post turbo EGT's are sufficient to keep them in that range for normal driving conditions.

Actually got it a while back from a forum member. As far as I know it is just a standard M-Tech carbon diffuser for quads.

I am running high-flow "gas" 200 cells at the moment. No they are not ideal for a diesel (or that far back in the exhaust stream) but I am hoping at least some reaction occurs taking some of the edge off of the stank. We will see.... |
