Love this build! There's a 2000/2001 civic si in electric blue rotting at a property of mine. The guy uses it to block his trailer so nobody steals it. thanks to this thread, Going to finally pop the hood today and see what's under there. Hoping to find a motor in good shape. thanks for the inspiration!

yeah that doesnt look like its in bad shape, looks lowered and the years for those are 99/2000. even if you could get that car with no motor for a good price - its worth it. they are climbing in value.

Have you replaced any of the exterior seals or weather stripping? I have a 2000 GSR and it seems most of those have been discontinued.

Not yet. I have the roof molding and windshield molding. The next two big projects are suspension and molding.

Surprised me that the headliner fit in my wife's X3. Took the headliner and a,b, and c pillars to the interior shop to get wrapped in alcantara.

Also test fitted the grill and lip- because there's nothing else to do but wait

Got the radiator in and new bolts for the flywheel.

With those wheels that is a VX the hyper miler car of the 90s honda did some cool things to increase fuel mileage. It makes me really miss my 93 Si hatchback. I just sent it to the great scrap yard in the sky less then a year ago with over 250k on the original drive line that still ran like a top just the shell was so rotted it would have needed a rust free shell to put back on the road.

No. Not really a fan of spoon. I'll probably get their braking system.

And actually I got it from my buddy Tony. I don't know a hector.

The car you are replicating was one of my first loves. Every day I walked to high school I walked past my neighbor who had completely transferred everything from a ek9 to his 97 hatch. (this was around 1999, i believe)

I never owned that body style but it was always one of my favorites.
