Went for a drive to scout landscape locations with snow, we don't often get snow, so we jumped in the Disco and went for a drive..

It was very foggy the other morning up at the coast where I saw this critter wandering around

Awesome shot, Alan. Nicely done.
Been wondering how you're handling the heat, Ed. Especially since a/c is rare out there.

Good move. Investment in a/c is never a waste.

Saw a heckuva fight the other day. The sound of the antlers colliding is pretty terrifying

Thanks Dave. I wish I could have got some closer shots, but it was about 90 outside, and everything I took with the 500 came out way too blurry due to the atmospheric distortion.
I wish they would have been fighting when I drove by there hours earlier when it was much cooler and the sun was behind me. Stupid uncooperative Elk! |

Super coyote-hunting pose. I love the backlight and processing of the shadow side. Great action.

You on a river cruise, DC? Wifey and I have debated taking one of those.

Painted Lady Butterfly
Painted Lady Butterfly by David Stephens, on Flickr Sony a9, Metabones MkV and Canon EF 100-400mm f/4.5-5.6L IS II, hand held. Should have shot at f/16 rather than f/8, to get a little more DOF.
