I've seen posts in this forum where they remove the air filter completely and gain no power. This makes perfect sense since the ECU regulates manifold pressures.

To be honest I don't see how you could gain any power from this type of mod when the ECU regulates boost in the intake manifold. The manifold boost pressure will still be 8.8 psi (stock) or 15 psi (VISHNU) regardless of your intake setup. *

I guess if your doing this just for sound, go for it, other than that its probably a waste of time and money.

*at the current boost settings the intake is not enough of a restriction for our turbo design that it can't reach boost targets...

Well my dyno runs were useless. My runs were well below what they should be with the mods I have. The car is not making boost at higher rpms and that is why I had that "starved" feeling. The best run came with the intake on but was still only 334hp. Boost jumped up to 14psi then quickly fell off to 12psi, stayed there for a second and then quickley drop down to 10psi. By time the car was at redline it was only making around 8-9psi. As you can probably imagine I was very disappointed with my runs. I'm going to try replacing the DVs and see if that remedys the problem. Any other advice out there?

stett: i am interested but want to know:
1/ confirm you do not have to remove the bumber to clean the air filter
2/ confirm your early prototype tire rubbing problems have been fixed. and if owner
changes rim size and front tire width 1 or 2 sizes, your unit will still not rub the tires.
3/ some members are saying that the stainless steel in your tubing will retain engine bay heat,
can u offer thermal coating as a option? if answer is yes, at what additional cost if any??

thanks and kindly reply

Stett isn't on this forum to respond...yet. I would contact them directly to get these questions answered.

He has posted dynos with some info about the intake, and although the dynos weren't ideal since the base run wasn't entirely stock, that's no reason to fly off the handle. If you want more info contact the vendor since its his job to provide the info you want, not his customers. Just my 2 cents.
Just looking for valuable informatiuon rather than a forum plant to market a product.

+1, it never seems to be enough for some people. You tried to do everyone a favor and post valuable information for the community and all some people do is criticize that you didn't provide every possible piece of info that they want.

Thanks for going through the hassle of posting all the information that you have, and also answering as many questions as you have.

Hopefully some of these pricks who demand every piece of information will do some research on their own, and stop badgering you for it.

Thanks again for the informational post.

Oh cool down everyone. We are all here to share information, attacking a member who is trying to share some product info is completely rediculous
