its a free update, just be patient....i would rather wait for it to be tested to work. I would be upset if a free update didnt work or gave me problems

I'm not trying to be an ass here, but at least Shiv gave us a little info that he and the team are working on a new software update. He could have just dropped the bomb on us and released it when it's done. But instead he wanted to keep us up to date with his work. I'm just as anxious as everyone else but when you keep badgering the guy and expect that to speed things up, it's really slowing him down as he replies to the threads and works on tinkering the bugs out of the maps and such. Just think if he never mentioned V3.1 would we have 6 pages of "where is it?" "today's wednesday it's now friday, saturday" come on now. just relax and it'll be out sooner than later. He's listening to our opinions and suggestions, he's adding more options to our maps be greatful for that.

We can speed up user software development by making it a revenue generator for us. Right now, it's not. We do it as a free upgrade. If you guys don't mind paying a nominal fee for this stuff, we can certainly put someone full time on it and have new updates/features every week. Let us get this update out and then we can discuss options with respect to future software development.

And by software development, I'm not talking about maps. They will always be free. Nothing to worry about there.

Shiv
Could you publish the PROcede interface and open-source the PC software, or does your license with the hardware vendor preclude it?

The issues people have had in the past with disconnects on Vista (and in some cases even XP) would likely be trivial to fix with enough eyes (as with all software).

If you published (and stuck to) an interface for the PROcede, you might also have Apple developers (including iPhone and iPod touch) coming out of the woodwork.

Jesus. Some of you people act like waiting for updates is the primary driving force in your life. Have you got so little going on in your lives that you live and die by whether Shiv gets the new update out on exactly the date he was hoping for? It sure seems like it from some of your posts.

I don't know about you guys, but with everything else going on in the world right now, waiting for an upgrade to make my $50K toy even more fun to play with is pretty insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

I vote to keep it free. No rush on trying to get software out, I have no problem as I'm sure others do with waiting on the software to be completed. Thanks for all your hard work buddy.

With all those user adjustables, aren't you taking a big risk by entrusting your customers to be able to use proper values? I can imagine the customer service nightmare if one person puts a 99 in a box instead of a 9, and all hell breaks loose, or did you guys build a fail-safe option where you can't go above a pre-selected max/min?...

What if someone enters max values for all the adjustables, and then a month later his car blows up... As great as having the option to set your own values, I would simply just trust the tuners values and be happy with it.

even if the Op messes up, the Procede has a safe mode where if the boost exceeds 16.5 it goes into valet mode, so it would be pretty impossible for anyone to blow up thier cars!

Shiv has indicated he has made it idiot-proof, but the proof is in the pudding.

I am sure there are some idiots on this forum who will do their best to hose it up and throw codes. This isn't inherently bad, until they start blaming it on some non-existent deficiency in the PROcede product.

The people who choose to go the extreme route know what they're getting into. At least they can't complain about a lack of features...

I guess it's the price you pay for a product that keeps improving. Being innovative before the others too.

your right, but the copycat companies are always doing exactly what i said copying a product performance aspects and than selling it for less which always make Vishnu prices seem high!!! It will always be a never ending battle of price for the product, but in the end the Procede reader program justifies the difference in price....But that my OPINION!

No doubt it'll be on time. No one knows when the time will be, but it'll be on time.

Now if Shiv could be trained to stop setting dates . . . nahhh; it'll never happen.
