Don't understand what come of you guys are bickering about. Both awesome cars in my book as well as everyone in the automotive world. The 3 series is the benchmark of its class and its been that way for years. Its no secret and Audi knows that. Audi finally comes out with a car that can compete or even top the 335i which shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. The e90/92 is already at the end of its life cycle and i'm sure the next generation 3 will further the gap between its competition once again... Competition is good for US the consumer!

I don't care WHAT make a car is, if it's a good car then it's a good car, period.

And congrats on having a friend to install the LSD. Very nice friend indeed to drop the rear end, replacing and shim the diff and reinstall. But that is not the norm either. While I have wrenched (for nearly 3.5 years since I purchased the vehicle new) on my car and feel comfortable anywhere in it. I would probably still go to a shop for a diff swap as doing it on ramps and stands would be an adventure IMO. It is better suited for a lift and diff jack. And from my understanding, most vehicles do have a welded ring gear. It is mainly the pre-March 2007 which have bolted. Automatics continued a bit later. But that is less than a years' production run with now four years standing. I understand your point of being more easily modified as it is with all turbo vehicles. But do not discount the new S4 either as it is in its infancy. Giving respect where it is due is the adult thing to do. |

O yeah, S4 starts at 48k. And with your mentality, "why don't I get a civic for $2000 that has only 1000 miles? It has ONLY 1000 miles it can pass as a new car. Plus, I can add a turbo kit and nitrous which can eat any 335 WHILE keeping it under $5000." Edit: |
