It should be 70's this week Mark.
Looks very nice, one thing I always liked about the bay were the sunset mudflats. The smell though left something to be desired.

We got into the 50's today. That's the warmest we've been in March, which has been our worst month of the winter. Go figure.

Thanks; it was actually a headache to PP tho;
I dont know when or where it happened, but I had a serious dust intrusion in my body and only noticed it tonight. My last shots were ok; but I must had switched lens without the proper care and sensor was FILLED with dust. So this one took about 40 min. to PP. Problem is I took over 400 shots over my weekend's trip. What a waste of time.

Also, windmills are popular these days, so when I drove right next to this field; I had to stop. I didnt count, but I think there were somewhere between 150 and 200 of them.
I wanted a 30 sec. exposure; but forgot my 10 stop ND filter at home Next time! I take this road about 6 times a year. Next time will be without any snow; even better!

^^^I've been meaning to get up to the wind farm north of us and do that same shot with black glass. I think it would look cool.
Ed, nice shot of the Cobra. I like the framing. I take it that's a track car or some sort? Certainly not the car of a collector.

I want to take one under a clear sky with a full moon, 10nd stop in bulb mode. Not only I'll get the propeller's trail, but I'll also catch star trails as well.

Mark, it is indeed a track car. I took that at the Sonoma historic races last spring. Nothing like seeing a track full of Cobras, Tigers and Shelby mustangs tearing it up for real.
Sensor dust can really sneak up on you if you routinely shoot wide open, and then stop down to like F8 or 11. Stuff you never see at larger F stops shows up all over the place all of a sudden. If you use Canon DPP software, it can actually dust map and take out the spots for you. I don't trust myself to mess around with the sensor, so I just joined Canon CPS and send my bodies off once a year for a free clean and check at Canon in Irvine CA. |

I wouldnt go up to the 4th step; but the first 3 ones are pretty safe in a controlled environment. What's bugging me is that I was pretty sure I was taking all the proper care to avoid this. I dont own enough gear yet to be part of NPS; they require 2 pro bodies (And the list is pretty short); and I only own one. I have enough lens tho; but I dont plan on entertaining two pro bodies anywhere in the future.
