Really? I would surprised on a piggy-back from Dinan. Doesn't Dinan pride themselves on flashes?

Steve Dinan approached us months ago to sell private labelled PROcedes. Although, to be fair, he did say he eventually planned on releasing a reflash.

WOW~~~~!!!!!!!! Now that is interesting!!!!!!!! Shiv you should have sold and collected royalties. I bet they would have "locked-down" the piggy-back like Procede Dark.

Interesting the conversation with Shiv didn't make it into Dinan's whitepaper dissing piggybacks.

Anyway you slice it, fanboism is dangerous to common sense and reasoning.

The only thing that matters is who is faster.....not who has a better dyno with better fonts / scaling....

LINE THEM UP!

I chuckled when I read it considering our conversations. But reality is that people speak ill if things they don't understand or have any experience in. This case is no different.

What I have found is there are certain Fanboys of Dinan, Fanboys of Porcede, Fanboys of Juicebox, Fanboys of Xede and soon-to-be Fanboys of Helix who ruin it for the rest of us.

I've got 100 accountants here telling me how I have wasted my money
T-bone I can't line up or I'll void my warranty . But I would be glad to attend a Dyno day that doesn't require a cross-country trip.

Most of us are pretty smart. It is pretty easy to spot fanboi posts so enjoy them for what they are.....that is the fun of the internet.

At the end of the day, the only thing that matters is performance. The fastest thing out there is the Procede V2.

I am interested in seeing how the Dinan does against Procede v.1.4x and JB and SSTT. I won't be convinced by dynocharts....I want to see who gets to show off their taillights.

Next thing we are going to find out is that Shiv and Terry are long lost brothers seperated at birth from their 15-year-old French prostitute mother named Chloe with webbed feet.

Slightly more complicated than just raising boost. Don't forget the additional cooling capabilities added.

Your on crack if you think Dinan just said hmm lets choose 13.2 PSI and call it a day. They have to warranty these cars. There is a reason they didn't do 14,15,16 PSI of boost. If it was safe they would have done it and blown all the other piggyback vendors out of the market. No offense but Shiv, Terry, AA, etc. don't care about that aspect or else they'd offer that with their product. The fact of the matter is no one has put enough miles on these cars with these piggybacks running 14+ PSI of boost to know if its safe. That's just not a risk I'm willing to take since I'm buying my car and don't have the option of turning it in at 36k ragged out. Is the extra 20-30 hp/tq worth a blown 15k motor down the road? Depends on how deep your pockets are. Not worth it to me but then again, I guess you assumed that risk when you bought your chip/piggyback, whatever. Do you honestly think these piggyback manufacturers will be around once ECU flashes come out? Unless they can adapt to the market (look at Terry with his Dinan add-on he's working on) they will have gotten their money and rode off into the sunest in their Lambo and off to another car where they can do the same thing (See Evo, WRX, etc). The early mover advantage is great business model for some, but not something I'm looking for when trusting my $51k car to it.

Shiv, not so sure they used e90post as proof of what is possible for this motor. I would hope a multi-million dollar company would use better sources (i.e. they would be idiots if they didn't get their research either through their own testing or directly from BMW). But if you have proof, by all means please post it. Dinan spam posts don't count either, lol. If your so sold on what boost this motor can hold without reliability issues, then offer a warranty. Still waiting for a response on your shipping prices as well.
I am pretty impartial on the tuners' wars topic (I will wait till March for the official version) --I would agree with orientblue3. I think most people who don't care about what will happen to their car after 50Kmi are probably leasing them. I would even feel bad to sell a car to somebody knowing I used up about 80% of its engine's resources while the odometer show 50Kmi. Maybe I am too much in love with these turbo beauties.
Ah, also what are the real world numbers 0-60, quarter mile on those tunes apple for apple? I think a lot of guys religiously defending the dyno-graphs. What about the real world implications?

I think 335i cars are french poodles to some people who never drive these cars faster than 90 with occasional bursts to 110 and preoccupied with the HP and 19 inch tires and aerodynamic kits--decorating their poodles' chests with as many medals they can get .
Not to brag, I raced my stock E90, 6 speed, sport etc on German autobahn against 540i reaching 155 mi/hr and will tell you--it is a real German Shepherd that just gets the job beautifully done and doesn't need much of your medals attached to its chest.
Above said is not related to people who seriously race their modified cars and need every little advantage they can get.
Hope I added a new twist in the "Soap Opera" for SNIZ

Is the waterpump speed boost something of interest?
I would expect Shiv could incorporate this into the Procede if it is worthwile.
