Yes...but not when more and more ppl got hit by drunk drivers and even fatalities....then the state and police department needs to be more strict against DUIs...

Actually, ever since 1983, the fatalities from dui's have been dropping. Recently (since '98) they have been slowly and steadily rising again...

A chart in this link shows the history from '82.

...last four years have been virtually the same, shown here:

Hmmm...but stricter laws play into the stat?
But even so....stricter laws doesn't directly mean lower fatalities caused by DUI drivers....

Heads up - Front plates will continue to be a big issue with cops. Reason, more chp are using lidar, and the front plate is primary target for the laser beam.
For those with detectors, you've probably seen more and more laser alerts over the last few months. I know they're all over my local freeways.

CHP still out in full force today. Saw two people pulled over. One on the 101 south in the valley and the 134 east. I still have no front plate mount and the dealer tags on my car. The CHP guy sure gave me a long stare as I passed him.

I just had a thought....I forgot today is a holiday, making this weekend a holiday weekend...the law is always out in full force for these weekends as there are more DUIs and such. I'm sure everything will be back to normal tomorrow.

I know somebody who used to just sign off their own ticket themselves and send it in. I mean... do you really think the courts are going to try and read the chicken scratch of a signature on the back of the ticket, and then check if there is actually such a police officer in that department? No, they don't. Alternatively, just find an old ticket and use the information listed there to sign it off.

Not that I would condone any of that of course. I've never done it myself and I have means to get any potential fix-its signed off. But for those who don't, I've heard of people doing the above.

The solution to a stupid problem is to de-ballerize your car.
Everytime a car is lowered on stock shocks, Domokun pwns a kitten.
this signature is so funny. :x

it used to be badge # + signature. now, the ticket also needs a stamp. at least thats what they did on my last fix it ticket.

I think it's still badge # and signature... I got one signed off not too long ago, I'll check with some friends though and see if that is widespread.

Anyone keep their new car registration sticker on their front windshield just to prevent a front license plate ticket? I still have mine on after 6 months LOL...
