Totally off topic...but drove down to see my stepdaughter today in Shropshire and she's just bought a 57 plate Astra VXR! So she let me have a drive in it. Very well put together and a real sense of occasion when you get in...keyless entry, Recaro seats etc. Took me right back to my hot hatch days! Turbo is fierce and bloody quick. No hint of the much written about torque steer, but the brakes felt soggy compared to the BM. Handled nicely through the corners at decent speeds and was good fun. For what she paid for it, a bloody good fun car...but I did feel that I needed a baseball cap to drive it Anyway, back on topic...those that are staying over for the meet, booking curry tomorrow and the rest of you get your orders in for the lunch!

Only a week to go now

Today's weather would have been perfect for the drive! Had a quick look on weather.com, and next Sat looks promising (well, low chance of rain!)
Sat Apr 25, Partly Cloudy temp 14°c

Not too many of those in the Dales, thankfully Then again, the roads are so narrow, speed is often not a desirable option!

Will we need 2-way radios. I've got one in the house, just wondering if it's something we'll be using?

Don't think so! Basically, as long as people are aware of the route and stopping off points we should be fine! I'll be posting more info later this week.

OK, so six days out can we have a synopsis of the meet?

Where are we meeting and what time?

What is the route? From Bradford to Ilkley. Is that via Bingley or Guisley? Does Grassington (lunch) come before or after Malham Tarn?

I'm wanting to program my satnag beforehand because every meet I've been to someone has shot off before everyone else was ready.

I should be in the MR2T unless it goes on Monday if so I do have something to hook a satnav up to so route please!! If that fails and a new car makes a debut it may have to be good ol' Porscha nav!

Rather looking forward to exploring some new roads.

I reckon I run most of this route on the days I go out for a blast - thats good because I would hate to get left behind!

I think there is a full route plan a few pages back SoYank.
