AA SC'd E90 M3 currently 1st @ One Lap

I didn't see it mentioned here before, but the Schaut Speed M3 (Updates from Owner HERE - http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthr...)(supercharged by Active Autowerke) is currently 1st in class and 11th overall at the Onelap. They have a neat little blog of the experience: http://www.schautspeedracing.com/blog/ssr-oloa-blog/

(Edit Looks like Omar started a build thread in January but it is tucked away in the sponsor showcase: http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=481833 )

Apparently they forgot to turn off traction control for the drag portion and only managed a 14.079 second quarter mile at 108mph with the DCT.

Except for the plastic rear license plate holder melting and getting sucked back at 174 mph at Daytona, it looks like the AA gear is holding up nicely

Wow, that 1/4 mile stumble probably cost them big. That should be an easy low 12 normally, and the CRX that's running around the 10th-12th range ran a low 13

Bet that car is fun on the high banks, if that's a real speed that's about 10mph faster than the Grand Am GT M3's go...on street tires...

Is there something wrong with that hood? Seems either not to close tightly, or perhaps they used some sort of riser kit for temp management...

Looks like typical questionable aftermarket body parts fitment to me. It's vented

Need to adjust the latch so the hood can close better.

I am surprised it didn't fly off at Daytona. I am sure it cost them a few MPH.
